He represents small businesses in asset acquisitions and sales, corporate formations, and advises clients in commercial litigation matters.  He also represents private real estate clients, developers, banks and other institutional lenders in their real estate transactions.  Graig’s understanding of the loan process from all angles enables the firm to advise corporate clients throughout the closing process while providing representation across a range of real estate legal matters including contract negotiation, lease disputes, and adverse possession matters.. Graig also practices civil litigation and employment law, representing employers and employees in employment discrimination, FLSA, FMLA and labor law matters. Additionally, Graig provides estate planning services for his clients, including will and trust preparation.. Prior to joining O’Connell and Aronowitz, Graig was Partner with a regional law firm and was previously founder of his own solo practice and its in-house title company.  His general practice law firm focused on real estate, small business and civil litigation. Before starting his own firm, Graig served as an associate attorney at Upstate New York law firms in Rochester, Clifton Park, and Latham.. Graig has been admitted to practice in all New York State courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Western and Northern Districts.  He is a current member of the New York State Bar Association.. Graig received his juris doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, New York. While attending Albany Law, he served as an appellate advocacy team member, appellate coach and executive board member of the school’s Moot Court Program, in addition to serving as an article editor for the school’s Environmental Outlook Law Journal. He received a bachelor’s degree from Siena College in Political Science.

While on active duty as a JAG, Greg prosecuted and defended over a hundred felony cases with charges ranging from drug possession to murder. Additionally, he was selected to serve as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. In that capacity he prosecuted hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases arising on federal property in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. Greg is often called upon by local news organizations to comment on prominent military legal cases. Greg's last active duty assignment was at the Defense Appellate Division in Washington DC where he wrote criminal appellate briefs and argued appeal cases. Greg was honorably discharged from the Army JAG corps in April 2004. Greg was awarded numerous awards from the army upon his discharge to include the Meritorious Service Medal.. Currently Greg’s practice area includes Criminal Defense, Appellate Advocacy, Family Law, and Federal employment litigation. Greg also serves as a law guardian where he represents children involved in family court litigation. He recently won a landmark victory at the Merit Systems Protection Board for federal employees in the case of Gregory Lee, Geoffrey Wellein v. Department of Justice and John Collins v. Department of Agriculture. Greg has numerous awards including the 2005 Freedom Team Salute by Peter J. Schoomaker, General of the United States Army, and Francis J. Harvey, Secretary of the Army.  Greg is a life member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).  Additionally Greg is certified by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and is a member of the NASD arbitration panel.. Greg has recently been appointed to the Committee on Character and Fitness for the State of New York Appellate Division’s Third Judicial District. Before prospective attorneys are admitted to the New York State Bar and allowed to practice law in New York State they must be personally interviewed by the Committee on Character and Fitness. The Third Judicial District includes Albany, Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, Schoharie, Sullivan and Ulster counties. He has also been elected to the Albany – Colonie Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.Greg currently serves as the firm's managing partner. There she supervised, investigated and determined the appropriate course of action for tort claims including medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, and property damage alleged against the U.S. Army under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA), the Military Claims Act (MCA) and the Foreign Claims Act (FCA). Heather has insight that few attorneys possess regarding the way the military handles torts claims, which she uses to assist clients with their actions against the U.S. Government for damages.Heather served as both a senior and trial defense counsel with the U.S. Army Trial Defense Service in Korea and at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. While with Trial Defense Service, she provided criminal and administrative legal services to a community of over 50,000 service members., representing and advising soldiers at all phases of trial and administrative hearings. Heather began her career as a prosecutor and legal aid attorney in the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate in Fort Benning, Georgia.Heather obtained her juris doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University, where she graduated magna cum laude and was managing editor of the Albany Law Environmental Outlook Journal. She went on to receive her Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in Trial Advocacy, where she graduated with honors.
