29 Days ago my wife and I purchased our first home. We heard this guy wanted to sell his house and started the process. We had a family friend real estate agent who represented us and he was unrepresented. The guy was dirt broke (house was paid off, inherited 8 months ago from deceased family) so the purchase agreement allowed him 30 days to vacate. Well it looks like he is likely not going to be out by the deadline. What are our options here? I've seen conflicting information online and most of it is catered for evicting a tenant, but it's not like he has paid us to stay. As far as eviction with a sheriff I know we'll need to get a court order, but don't know if the 30 days given in the sale counts like an eviction notice or if we'd need to give him a formal eviction letter now that the time is up. Location: Ohio and Texas. I adopted a husky in Mid June from a foster rescue in Texas. He was transported and arrived to me July 18th. Transport was three people who drove a bus packed with dogs and cats over a period of 5 days. My dog arrived 2 days into the trip. The rescue and foster told me he was in great health he had all of his shots and was neutered on the 6th of July. He did not travel in a cone. The problem is he arrived to me with Hyphema in one of his eyes and both eyes were and continue to be bloodshot even with treatment. The night he arrived we went to the er and later the vet. I have eye appointments scheduled. He is on medication however he is not improving and is likely to go blind due to some blood disorder or illness he had before he was transported. I have been in contact with the adoption agent and the foster. Originally I was told he had not left with red eyes and was in perfect health. The led me to believe something happened during transport however later I found out from the adoption agent he has red eyes at his neutering on the 6th though not to the extent he arrived to me in. I'm posting for my partner (23M) who apparently had his license suspended. Location: Tennessee This morning, my partner and I were on the way to work. We both work at Amazon, but he works on the TOM team, these are the people who operate the big trucks, so he's currently in the process of obtaining his CDL. We weren't even five minutes away from our house before getting stopped for a broken taillight. Everything was good, the officer was going to let us go, but once he got back to my partner about his license, he notified him that it was suspended. He couldn't give a reason or a date, but my partner suspected it was due to a speeding ticket he had gotten in Ohio back in 2023. The officer ended up taking us back home in his police vehicle, informed us that my partner would have to book himself in to get a mugshot and fingerprints within ten days, and that we would have to have someone pick up the vehicle later. The reason I couldn't drive us or pick up the vehicle is because I don't have a license. My partner's mom helped us go into town, and after a few phone calls and visiting the DMV, he got his license reinstated and confirmed he is legally allowed to drive again. Location: Ohio September 2025 an Amazon driver was bitten by my dog, treated by paramedics refused medical, non-English speaker, never reported to health dept. FF to March of this year someone called, gave her name and atty she worked for clients name and asked if I had homeowners insurance. I didn’t answer, hung up and called my ins agent. Two wks later a letter asking for my homeowners insurance information, called agent who then took over. FF to last week I find out our coverage has been dropped due to dog bite, case still open. I’m trying to find another insurance company but am being told no one will insure us for liability because of the dog bite case being open. I guess the statute of limitations in Ohio is 100+ days after filing. The problem is I’m severely disabled and may need home care in the future. I never have and have a spouse who helps with most things but you never know. So I’m terrified of having no liability for a worker who comes in. And yes, workers comp could fill this gap but you just never know. Is there a way to compel this atty to close the case sooner? No I don’t have an atty and can’t really afford much as we’re both retired on a fixed income. Thank in advance for the help.

Yesterday her mom attacked her for the first time and i don’t know what to do. For context her dad is out of the picture and she has two younger brothers to two different dads.
