Location: Oregon. I worked for the same company all of last year, but halfway through the year they changed payroll providers. I received two W-2s, one from each payroll company. A $4,000 retention bonus appears to be included in the wages on both forms even though I only received it once. I checked my final pay statements from the old system and the first statement from the new one, and the same bonus seems to be carried into both year-to-date totals. I emailed payroll three weeks ago with screenshots. They replied that both W-2s came from their payroll providers and that I should “just enter both forms exactly as issued.” When I asked whether they could review the duplicated wages, they told me the numbers were already finalized. I haven't filed yet. What should I be asking the company for if the W-2 information is actually incorrect, and what records should I keep if they refuse to fix it?

Location: Oregon The down and dirty is my mother and another bar tender had to 86 a customer who is also employed at the same bar as them due to him causing fights, groping female staff, getting in my mother's face, ect. He kept coming in on her shifts and demanding drinks. Management would tell him to leave, but not call the police. Over the last two weeks around 1 am while closing, she would spot him in the parking lot watching her car. She would call the police and they would ask him to leave. Finally after the 4th time of him watching her car, he was arrested. The bar manager response was to fire him, but not trespass him from bar property due to him "not causing issues on other shifts". He has also been seen waiting outside of the bar on the other bar tenders shifts. There is a text thread where my mother asks bar management to have him legally trespassed, to which the manager refused saying it's not a big deal, she can't make everyone happy, and my mom and the other bar tender can hold their own. Location: Oregon I’ve just started a new job this month and am on my third week there, it goes without saying I’ve completed my onboarding, which included submitting an id, social and birth certificate and everything was running smoothly till my birthday which was 3 days before my first payday, my id expired on my birthday and I subsequently received a text a day later from my boss saying they unfortunately couldn’t pay me unless I had an up to date ID, I told them I was planning on getting it updated with my first paycheck and asked if I could either receive a paper check or submit alternative papers as opposed to id and they said they’d check with payroll get back to me. Quick heads up: I'm actually making this thread for a friend, but I'm just going to use first person anyway to keep things concise. Location: Oregon. I am a trans woman working a retail job and customers misgender me constantly. It's taken a substantial toll on my mental health and I am strongly considering quitting the job. I have read online that my employer has a responsibility to prevent and address persistent misgendering in the workplace, but the measures they've taken to do that so far have been inadequate: (i) they gave me a pronoun pin but customers still misgender me at basically the same rate when I wear it, (ii) they sometimes give me an extra 10 minute break when I get misgendered, but that doesn't actually fix the issue. I'll also note that both of these measures are informal fixes, made via verbal agreements that aren't documented. So my question is, what is my recourse for getting better support here? Honestly I'm so fed up that part of me just wants to put in my two weeks now. But I know if I did that I probably wouldn't be eligible for unemployment insurance, even though it feels to me like I'd be quitting for good cause. I haven't documented things very well because I've just been trying to push through it, but I kind of hit a wall the past few days.
