I am an attorney in an established general practice law firm in Brattleboro, Vermont. My practice includes a range of services including employment law, workers' compensation, civil litigation, real estate, family law, and probate. My employment practice includes advising both employers and workers on questions of compliance with state and federal employment laws and regulations, fair employment practices, and severance negotiations. In my family law practice, I have represented Vermonters through all stages of divorce, post-divorce disputes, custody and child support issues. My workers' compensation practice includes representing both employers and their insurance carriers in workers’ compensation claims before the Vermont Department of Labor, and I am considering expanding that practice into Massachusetts. Over the years, I've also worked with general business litigation, education law, labor negotiations, and administrative law in areas ranging from employment discrimination to the UCMJ to various environmental and defense-related regulations enforced by the United States Coast Guard.. Before I was an attorney, I worked in corporate environments in San Francisco, California for over a decade, managing internal communications, change management and leadership development projects at Bank of America, Genentech, and Grace Episcopal Cathedral, among others.

I came to the law as a second career, after the end of my first marriage. I entered law school, knowing that I wanted to practice Family Law. I enjoy the interaction with people in times of upheaval. I came to bankruptcy because it often goes hand in hand with divorce, and I wanted to be a source of "one stop shopping." My bankruptcy practice has grown over the years, and it is a practice area that I've grown to love.. I'm family oriented, and love the central Vermont community. I live with my husband and two naughty dogs.
