Legislative intent

The General Assembly intends for this subchapter to: (1) Create, strengthen, and expand local farm and food economies throughout the state; (2) Support and encourage the procurement of local farm or food products as a significant portion of all food products purchased by the state; and (3) Secure data on the procurement of local farm or food products prepared and consumed within agencies. Amended by Act 2019, No. 796,§ 1, eff. 7/24/2019. Added by Act 2017, No. 617,§ 1, eff. 8/1/2017.
