§ 177-c. Powers and duties of the director of purchasing. In any fire\ndistrict in which the office of director of purchasing has been\nestablished and a director of purchasing shall have been appointed and\nqualified, the director of purchasing shall make all purchases and all\ncontracts for supplies, materials and equipment of every nature for the\nfire district within budgetary appropriations provided therefor. Before\nmaking any purchase, the director of purchasing shall comply with such\nrules and regulations in relation thereto as may be established by\nresolution of the fire commissioners and such provisions of law as may\nbe applicable thereto, including article five-A of the general municipal\nlaw.\n
