Coordination of school health programs, grants, and initiatives - Coordination of funding - Performance of health screening services under TennCare contracts

The department of education and the department of health shall coordinate existing school health programs, grants, and initiatives. To the extent possible in light of existing contracts and waiver requirements, funding, including TennCare funding, must likewise be coordinated. Schools should be encouraged and permitted to perform health screening services under TennCare contracts. Amended by 2022 Tenn. Acts, ch. 966, s 40, eff. 7/1/2023. Acts 2000, ch. 554, § 6.
