By October 1, 2021, and each October 1 thereafter, the department shall provide a report to the education committee of the senate and the education instruction committee of the house of representatives, regarding the physical education programs and activity for each LEA. The department shall publish the report on the department's website. Upon the release of the report, the department shall encourage each school to use the results of the report and comparison to other schools in helping develop the school's overall wellness plan. In compiling the data used in the report, the department may use assessments developed by a nationally recognized nonprofit heart association. Amended by 2021 Tenn.
