§ 13.040. EFFECT OF INDIGENT HEALTH CARE AND TREATMENT ACT.

If an indigent or nonindigent public patient is eligible for health care assistance from a county hospital or public hospital under Chapter 61 (Indigent Health Care and Treatment Act), the state is entitled to reimbursement from that hospital for the treatment and support of the patient to the extent prescribed by that chapter.
