§ 10-2a-106. Feasibility request filed before changes to law take effect.
Official statutory text
(1) If an individual files a feasibility request for incorporation of a city or town before May 14, 2019, the process for incorporating the city or town is not subject to Laws of Utah 2019, Chapter 165 or Laws of Utah 2023, Chapter 224, and is instead subject to the municipal incorporation law in effect on the day on which the individual files the feasibility request. (2) If an individual files a feasibility request for incorporation of a city or town before May 3, 2023: (a) except as provided in Subsection (2)(b), the process for incorporating the city or town is not subject to Laws of Utah 2023, Chapter 224, and is subject to the municipal incorporation law in effect on the day on which the individual files the feasibility request; and (b) the process and requirements for filing a modified feasibility request on or after May 6, 2026, shall be in accordance with the law in effect on the day on which the individual or an incorporation sponsor files a modified feasibility request.
