Jim has assisted hundreds of business start ups, including many significant start-ups such as Pleasanton’s Phosistor Technologies, Inc., that raised over $15 million in Series A and B offerings.. Jim is a member of the State Bar of California, the Alameda County Bar Association, and a member and past President of the Eastern Alameda County Bar Association.. Jim is a member and a past President of the Rotary Club of Pleasanton and the Rotary Club of Pleasanton Foundation. He is also a founder and past member of the Board of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation, a founder, past officer and past member of the Advisory Committee for Pleasanton Partnerships in Education, a member of the advisory board of Dublin Partnerships in Education, a member of the Board of the Museum on Main, a founding officer and director of Pleasanton Heat, a track and field and running club, and a member of the Berkeley Yacht Club..
