When I first meet with clients, my primary focus is to simply listen to everything they have to say.   By understanding my clients' lives, challenges and aspirations, I can better recommend options, work with clients to implement sensible solutions, and leave each client with the sense they had an advocate who truly cared about them. Many of our clients report feeling relieved after initial consultations largely because they were able to talk to a professional who can listen intensively without interruption.. Extensive courtroom experience, detailed fact investigation, and a command of the law are often the difference between winning and losing at trial.  But the best lawyers know that every case need not end up before a jury.  Many cases can and should settle, and these settlements require a different, but no less important, skill set.   A personal injury lawyer must know his client's capacity for risk and advise that client accordingly.  Where a prolonged jury trial may be the best recommendation for one client, arbitration or mediation may be the better option for another client. Each case, like each client, is different..
