I have dedicated my career to defending the rights of the accused.  A graduate of Stanford University and a magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown Law School, I chose criminal law instead of corporate law because I love the challenges of trial work and the rewards of fighting for human beings caught in the often callous machinery of the criminal justice system.. The majority of my practice is dedicated to defending against felony charges in King County Superior Court and Federal District Court in the Western District of Washington, but I have experience in state and local courts throughout Western Washington, and I know that every case is serious to the person being accused.  I pride myself on being an even-keeled and compassionate advocate--one of the most important services I can provide is to ease the stress and uncertainty the goes with being accused of a crime.  I will use my knowledge and experience to empower you to make the most informed, intelligent decisions possible, and I will litigate your case with creativity and tenacity.. With sixty jury trials to my credit in almost twenty years defending the accused against all types of felony and misdemeanor cases in federal, state and local courts, I can give you the peace of mind that comes with having a proven, battle-tested advocate in your corner.
