Romy Elswerky received his law degree from the Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2014. Immediately following law school, Mr. Elswerky worked for a law firm in Lafayette, Indiana, and solely practiced criminal defense work. Mr. Elswerky gained extensive experience all throughout the State of Indiana, practicing in most Indiana counties, including Marion, Lake, Hamilton, Allen, Tippecanoe, Johnson, Boone, Hendricks, Wabash, Delaware, and Monroe. Mr. Elswerky has helped many people expunge their criminal records, from arrest records, to misdemeanor and felony convictions. Mr. Elswerky also assisted many individuals in obtaining specialized driving privileges, to permit them to drive from home to work or from home to school. Mr. Elswerky has defended his clients facing various criminal charges, including Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Minor Consumption, Theft, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct, among other charges. Mr. Elswerky then transitioned to Bowen & Associates, LLC, where he continued to practice criminal defense work, and in helping individuals expunge and seal their criminal records and obtaining specialized driving privileges. However, once Mr. Elswerky joined Bowen & Associates, LLC, Mr. Elswerky expanded his practice to include family law, ranging from legal separation, to divorce, to paternity cases. Mr. Elswerky also helped individuals in child support matters and child custody matters, and even assisted in probate matters, such as guardianships and probating wills. Following his employment at Bowen & Associates, LLC, Mr. Elswerky transitioned to a firm with offices in Shelbyville and Indianapolis, where he continued to practice mostly in all areas of family law, but continued to practice in the area of criminal defense. He also expanded his practice to include elder law, including drafting wills, trusts, and estates, and also assisting individuals with obtaining guardianships. Mr. Elswerky has recently joined Banks & Brower, LLC, and continues to practice primarily in family law. He helps and advises his clients with prenuptial agreements, assists during legal separations and dissolution of marriages, and helps with paternity proceedings. He continues to represent individuals in child custody matters, child support matters, and emergency proceedings. Mr. Elswerky has not given up practicing in other areas of law and has continued to represent clients in protective order proceedings and in guardianship matters, as well.
