Shiza Khan Esq, is the founding partner of Khan Family Law and an attorney who is passionate about the rights of children. Raised in the quaint suburbs of Surrey in England, she obtained her LLB from the University of Essex. She then became admitted to the roll of solicitors of England and Wales in 2008. After practicing Criminal and Employment Law in London, she then moved to America, where she was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2011. Following her admittance, she worked at the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County in the Children’s Rights Division as an attorney for children, where she appeared in family court almost every day representing children in over 1,000 dockets in custody, visitation, child abuse, child neglect, guardianship, foster care, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), Juvenile delinquent and (PINS) cases. Whilst at Legal Aid, Shiza formed strong relationships with many of the attorneys in the county and many of the judges on, and off the bench. With her specialized training in family law, Shiza then started her practice in 2015. Shiza serves on the Attorney for the children panel in Rockland and Westchester County and on the assigned counsel panel in Rockland County.
