My name is Kathlyn Laraway, and I have been practicing Family Law in Colorado for my entire legal career.  I have represented clients in Dissolution Procedings, Child Custody Matters, Child Support Matters, Paternity Cases, same-sex civil union issues, civil matters regarding interpersonal relationships, at both the Distirct Court level and at the Appellate Level.. My goal when working with clients in a divorce is to bring a positive attitude and disposition to the table.  I know that when dealing with a divorce or custody action, people are going through possibly the hardest thing in their life.  As well as representing my clients and helping them wade the waters of the Colorado court system, I try everyday to help them through the struggle in whatever way I can.  I hope that my clients would agree that I try as much as possible to make the divorce process easy to understand and easy to deal with.. While most good divorce attorneys will tell you that often the best resolution is one that stems from mediation or another form of alternative dispute resolution, and I would certainly agree with this, there is certainly a point in many cases when litigation is inevitable.  As an attorney, I am both comfortable and at home in the Court fighting and advocating for my clients.  There are many attorneys out there who will push settlement instead of litigation, however, I am prepared for either.
