David earned his Bachelor Degree (B.A.) from the University of Texas atAustin in 1976, with a major in History.  He earned JurisDoctorate Degree (J.D.) from the University of Houston in 1981. He wasadmitted to practice in Texas that same year.  Mr. Simmental  soonjoined the legal department of Cooper Industries, a Fortune 100 companyheadquartered in Houston, Texas, as staff attorney/real estatemanager. Mr. Simmental was then appointed as an Assistant CityAttorney for the City El Paso, Texas; providing advice to the HousingRehabilitation Board and the Industrial Development Board.  In 1983, Mr. Simmental believed that he could be more effective in helpingpeople deal with probate and real estate issues in his own practice. Hepracticed as a sole practitioner in El Paso, Texas for eighteen (18)years.  In 2000, Mr. Simmental moved to Denver, Colorado and foundedSimmental Law, LLC.  The following year, he was invited to become anassociate of the law firm of Riggs, Abney, Neal,Turpen, Orbison &Lewis,  in their Denver office. He successfully practiced with thatFirm for seven years then renewed his individual law firm again.  Mr.Simmental has represented numerous clients in State and Federal Courtsin probate and real estate litigation.  He has prepared complexbusiness and real estate documents and ventures.  David has assistedhelped hundreds of people in creating their Last Will and Testaments,Powers of Attorney and Living Wills.  Simmental Law, LLC has allowedDavid to fully realize his  passion for helping people in dealing withprobate and real estate matters. Mr. Simmental is active in a number of professional organizationsincluding the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Arapahoe County Bar Association.  David is a member of the Probate andEstates Section and the Real Estate Section of the Colorado BarAssociation.  He has been a presenter a real estate seminars and activein providing pro bono services and involved in various communityservice projects.   Mr. Simmental is licensed to practice in Texas,Colorado  and the District of Columbia.  He has been admitted topractice in the United States District Court for the District ofColorado, the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit andthe Federal District and the United States Court of InternationalTrade.
