Joi Kush is a Colorado Springs native.  She has a diverse background in family law and civil litigation and she is active in the community.  Joi frequently volunteers for Colorado Springs Teen Court and the Pikes Peak Pro Bono Project, and she currently serves on the Colorado Bar Association, Young Lawyer Division Executive Counsel and the El Paso County Bar Association, Family Law Section December CLE Planning Committee.  She is also a member of the Ben S. Wendelken Inn of Court and The Winter Night Club, a contributing author for the El Paso County Bar Association monthly newsletter, and a participant in Leadership Now.  As an attorney at David M. Johnson, P.C., Joi handles a variety of cases including complex custody disputes, high net worth marital estates, and post-decree issues.. Joi graduated with a B.A. in International Studies/Philosophy from the University of Denver in 2003 and from Albany Law School in 2010.  While in law school, she was an editor for the New York Bar Association's Government, Law & Policy Journal and the Albany Government Law Review.  Joi interned with Justice Littlefield in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of New York, the Albany County District Attorney's Vehicular Crimes Unit, and the Civil Rights and Disabilities Law Clinic.  Joi also lived and worked abroad in Beijing, China, Tokyo, Japan, Chiang Mai, Thailand, Hanoi, Vietnam and Dharamsala, India.  Her achievements and intelligence are a direct reflection of her personality and the level of motivation and energy she possesses..
