Mr. Abbott is a partner with the law firm of Gubler & Abbott LLP. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University with a major in English and a minor in Spanish. He then attended Western State University College of Law, where he received his law degree, graduating as Valedictorian with Summa Cum Laude honors.. Mr. Abbott has represented clients in both state and federal courts, as well as before the Dept. of Labor Standards Enforcement, Employment Development Dept., the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, the Central District of California and the Eastern District of California.. Mr. Abbott has extensive experience in business litigation. He has represented various clients throughout all stages of the litigation experience, from drafting complaints to motions for summary judgment to trial and post-judgment collection actions.. Mr. Abbott is also well versed in all aspects of employment law, including the Family Leave Medical Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission (EEOC), the Fair Employment and Housing (FEHA), Industrial Wage Orders, and COBRA..
