For the better part of two decades, I have dedicated my career to the representation of clients throughout the State of Georgia in workers' compensation claims before the State Board of Workers' Compensation. Before my career as a workers' compensation attorney, I worked in the business world as an operations manager for a trucking company and later for a national labor contracting firm. That experience gave me firsthand perspective on what are often life-changing and devastating issues faced by those injured on the job in industries such as transportation, construction, healthcare, and retail.. Because of my previous business experience, practicing workers' compensation law became the obvious choice for my legal career. I earned my juris doctorate cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law, where I was the president of my graduating class. I received my bachelor’s degree in business and economics from West Virginia Wesleyan College. I am a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar of Georgia and Atlanta Bar Association. When I am not practicing law, I am active in my church and numerous community organizations. I also enjoy everything to do with the outdoors, especially backpacking when time allows.
