I wasn’t particularly good at building things, and I didn’t feel like I’d make a very good police officer or firefighter. During my teenage years, a friend was wrongfully accused of something. The details don’t matter, but it triggered something in me. I wanted to fight for my friend. I needed to stand up for him and fight this injustice. I argued, advocated, and changed the minds of his accusers. It helped my friend and the experience helped me understand what brings me my deep gladness. Fighting to get justice for others..
