I love competition and thrive on being a trial lawyer. I'm known as the 'DWI Guy' and 100% own it. It's what I do. I'm in the Legal Elite Hall of Fame as my colleagues voted me as North Carolina's Top Criminal Law Attorney in 2016. I appreciate all the awards and recognition, from serving on Law Review to Business NC's Top 30 Under 30, to Super Lawyers, to the National Trial Lawyer's Top 40 Under 40, but it's helping people that makes me truly happy.. What will become clear after speaking with me?. [1] I'm direct and strategically-aggressive.. [2] My niche is getting people (Judges, Lawyers, DA's Office, etc.) to say "Yes" when they don't want to.. [3] Our custom internal-process and checks & balance systems will be relieving.. Being a certified NBA Player Agent (NBPA), the time I don’t spend battling it out in court, I spend either recruiting NBA prospects or reliving my glory days on the basketball court. I’ve been the Commissioner of the Mecklenburg County Lawyer Basketball League for years. Check out the photo-section for our recent Championship portrait. You’ll have the opportunity to hold our 50lb. gavel as it’s proudly displayed as soon as you walk in our building.. I’m a West Virginia native who fights to the end. I started my professional career in the Corporate & Investment Banking world. Although very interesting, I didn’t know my personal end-game until I formed RTS Law Group. Our employees are sharp, passionate, and feel like they are members of my family (some actually are). This has all been a dream-come-true. I’m looking forward to fighting on your behalf.
I look forward to becoming your trusted advisor in Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Real Estate Matters that deserve the upmost respect and detail.

I have dedicated my entire legal career to criminal defense, through direct representation as well as policy work. Upon graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2008, I began my legal career as an assistant public defender in Mecklenburg County, protecting the rights of defendants who could not afford otherwise afford legal representation in District and Superior Courts. From 2014 to 2017, I worked for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in Washington, D.C., organizing training for public defenders and private assigned counsel and advancing reform efforts in various states. From 2017 to 2023, I returned to public defense, working to defend the rights of the accused in serious criminal cases in Camden, New Jersey. In 2023, I returned to North Carolina to continue my career as a criminal defense attorney with The Olsinski Law Firm.. I represent adults charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses in District and Superior Court primarily in Mecklenburg County. I occasionally take cases in surrounding counties, such as Cabarrus and Union, and I am admitted to practice in the federal court of the Western District of North Carolina. Although I represent people charged with a variety of crimes, I have a particular interest in domestic violence defense and cases with Fourth Amendment issues - seeking to keep out evidence that the government obtained in violation of the Constitution. I greatly value communication and strive to always make sure that clients understand the status of their cases, the evidence, and their options.. I am a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar, the Cabarrus County Bar, and the Mecklenburg County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. I also am a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, including the Criminal Justice Section and the Women's Caucus, and am serving as an Education Co-Chair for the NCAJ Women's Caucus in 2024-2025. My practice is centered around having a sense of urgency with every case, and always keeping my clients informed about the status of his or her case. Our law firm does both plaintiff and defense work, and I am privileged to be practicing with my father, Fred W. DeVore, III. I am also thankful for my supportive family. My wife, Jessica DeVore, and my two children, Hartman and Grayson, play a major role in all of my accomplishments.. Our practice area is civil litigation which includes construction disputes, personal injury, wrongful death, and many other areas of law. I also handle traffic tickets and misdemeanors in Mecklenburg, Union, Gaston, and Cabarrus counties.
I have been practicing federal and state criminal defense in Charlotte for over 20 years. Since 2010, I have been a State Bar Board Certified Specialist in State and Federal Criminal Law. Since 2012, I have been selected each year as a North Carolina Super Lawyer and have received the highest peer rating (AV preeminent) from Martindale-Hubbell. I have handled every type of criminal case and have always striven to obtain the best possible results for my clients. Unlike many criminal defense lawyers, I do not run a high volume practice where the client is expected to quickly plead guilty and move on. Instead, I studiously look for weaknesses in the prosecution's case with an eye towards winning the case in front of a jury. I am not afraid to try a case, having tried over 130 jury trials during my legal career. On the other hand, if the case appears to be one which will likely result in a guilty verdict, I use the weaknesses in the prosecution's case and the positive aspects of my client's background to try to negotiate a better plea bargain than would otherwise be offered.
I have been empowering businesses and individuals for over 10 years. Most of my clients mirror who I am as a person: self-made, hardworking, tenacious, dedicated, innovative, and fearless. Whether it is advising clients on how to protect their business’ assets, or preparing a witness for trial, the goal is always the same: to empower the client, to make them stronger, better, more prepared so that they can reach their goals and succeed. I consider several of my clients to be close personal friends and try to approach each new client with the intention that the relationship be a lasting one.. I have had the unique opportunity to see the practice of law from a variety of different viewpoints having worked for a North Carolina State Court prior to going to law school, clerked for the Department of Justice during law school, and working for a large United States Government contractor and private law firms after graduating law school.. I am a Master Gardener with the North Carolina Mecklenburg County Extension Master Gardeners, and a member of Frazier Park Community Garden. I am also a member of Carolina Breast Friends where I try to offer advice and comfort to individuals who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.. After being the first in my family to graduate from college, I left the comfort of my hometown in Eastern North Carolina and moved to Washington, D.C., where I quickly became a foodie. I prefer to spend my free tim surrounded by nature and can often be seen gardening with my partner George in the front yard of their home, riding my bike to the office, and walking out cats, Roger Parker and Marco Money, on a leash in Freedom Park.

I grew up watching several of my own family members navigate the path of divorce and I witnessed how it affected and changed the trajectory of their lives. I founded the Turner Law Firm, PLLC in February 07, 2013. I have been licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina since September 2008. I started my career in preparing responses to discovery requests for major corporations in Chicago, Detroit, and Charlotte.. The southern hospitality, warm weather, and growing Charlotte market led me to become a permanent resident in 2012. I enjoy practicing real estate law including land disputes and landlord/tenant matters. I am also passionate about helping people who find themselves in anxiety-ridden situations such as those who have been facing foreclosure and those being harassed by bill collectors. I take cases throughout North Carolina. Debt defense and bankruptcy relief has led me to become licensed in all Federal Districts in North Carolina. On the family law side, I am also an advocate for fairness between the separating spouses and I protect the child’s interests and pride myself in calming the parties in dispute as opposed to creating additional tensions as other attorneys often do.. Surrounding myself with top notch talent, I continue to guide the firm to rapid growth, and past clients’ referrals are a testament to the quality of work the firm produces. Our goal is to be a multifaceted firm in many areas of law, and we continue to add talent and services for our clients’ needs.. I attended college at the University of Iowa having graduated in May 2003 with a Minor in French and Bachelor Degrees in Marketing and Asian Languages and Literature with emphasis in Mandarin Chinese. During undergraduate studies, I became interested in law through a course in business law. After undergrad I obtained a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.. Since arriving in North Carolina, I have volunteered for the Coalition to Unchain Dogs, the Tax Clinic of Legal Services of the Southern Piedmont, and the Council for Children’s Rights. My hobbies consist of cooking classes, trying new foods and container gardening growing tomatoes and various herbs and spices.
I discovered my passion for juvenile law by accident. I edited a magazine in Washington, D.C., for years before deciding at age 29 to go to law school. Following graduation, my husband and I moved to Charlotte and had our first child, who had severe brain damage following several strokes. I put the idea of law on the back burner, volunteering for various charities and advocating for my son.. Eventually I entered the work force again as volunteer coordinator at the Children's Law Center, a nonprofit dedicated to representing juveniles in all legal matters. Within a year I was representing juveniles in delinquency and mental health commitment hearings, with a foray into special education, but I concentrated on delinquency. Eight years later I opened my own law firm but after two years returned to the Center. I stayed another two years before I had to stop practicing to care for my three boys. In 2016, I re-entered the legal world at Fisher Law Group. In March of 2020, I began practicing with my husband, Bob Bollinger.. At The Bollinger Law Firm, I maintain my focus on juvenile law by continuing to represent juveniles in delinquency cases and defending parents whose children are in danger of removal from custody by the Department of Social Services or are already in DSS custody. I also do name changes, emancipation, expunctions for those interested in cleaning up their criminal records, and guardianship.

I care about my clients. My clients are more than just a number. I see the person.
I believe the most important thing an attorney can do for their clients is to educate them so they are empowered to make the decisions that will be most beneficial to them. Family law is an extremely personal field and a relationship between an attorney and client is at the forefront of solving the issues that will arise. I have been practicing family law almost exclusively for six years and have had the opportunity to help hundreds of clients with issues ranging from custody, child support, divorce, alimony, equitable distribution, and other issues that come along with all of these claims.. I am a firm believer in attempting to resolve issues through alternative dispute resolutions (out of court), but also preparing for litigation contemporaneously. As your family law attorney, I will get to know your case on a ground level so your matter can be tailored to fit your specific lifestyle. I strive to not only help guide your legal matter, but to be available to you for any practical advice that may be needed along the way.. Outside of the legal world, you can find me volunteering with local organizations, shooting high scores of golf in the surrounding area, and cheering on THE Ohio State University.
I began practicing law because I wanted to help people. Working for a large law firm initially gave me exposure to different types of legal matters, but it did not provide the contact with clients that I desired. In 2004, I opened my own practice and have thoroughly enjoyed working directly with my clients to help solve their complex legal problems.. When I first opened my practice, I was fortunate to have two senior attorneys mentor me in employment law. They encouraged me to appeal three of my racial discrimination lawsuits to the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, and I was hooked. During the beginning years of my own practice, I was also fortunate to assist in the adoption of two of my nephews. Adoption law is very near and dear to my heart, and I have no greater pleasure than to help adoptive parents and their adoptive children.. Working with clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives is rewarding to me. Many of my clients are repeat customers, referrals, and friends. I keep my clients fully informed of all action I take on their behalf, and return telephone calls within 24 hours. I can be a “bulldog” when necessary, but I am to obtain the best results for my clients in all matters.. In 2017, I opened Everett Law, PLLC to further my employment, family and adoption law practice. I always place the client and their needs first and foremost. If you are looking for an attorney who will zealously advocate on your behalf, please contact me at to set up a consultation.. I look forward to meeting you!

I'm a zealous advocate both in the courtroom, as well as in negotiations. This is one of the most stressful times in one's life and I make it a point to approach each case with the compassion it deserves.

I am passionate about the law and I care about my clients. These qualities make me a strong advocate to have on your side during this very difficult time in your life. As a mother, I know how much your children mean to you and how you would do anything to shelter them from harm. Children are often the innocent victims in their parents’ divorce. While it may be impossible to shield them entirely from the impact of your divorce, I will work with you to minimize the impact on your children as much as possible. My goal is to educate you regarding North Carolina law and how it applies to your case, so that you understand all your options. Divorce can be a terrifying experience, but I will empower you with the knowledge of what to expect every step of the way. I majored in mathematics and then worked in the banking industry for many years prior to becoming an attorney, so I have a strong financial background to handle complex financial support and property division cases. I’ve represented clients in Brunswick, Forsyth, Davie, Davidson, Rowan, Alexander, Iredell, Catawba, Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston and Union counties, on matters involving child custody, child support, equitable distribution, post-separation support, alimony, contempt, and breach of contract claims. Not every case requires litigation, and many cases can be resolved out of court using alternative dispute resolution methods such as collaborative law, arbitration, and mediation. But if litigation becomes necessary, you can rely on my years of trial experience to protect your interests in the courtroom.
I am passionate about my work, I fight hard for my clients, and I work tirelessly to achieve the best results.. My mantra in life has always been, “you can either give up, give in, or give it your all.” Shortly after I was born, my dad took a risk and started his own business working out of our basement. My mom joined him and fearlessly embraced the journey of small business owners with a hoard of three young children. Whether it was my mom knowing how every client took their coffee or my dad’s all-nighters during tax season, from day one my parents taught me the importance of compassion and hard work. Today, these are values that I bring to my work and to my clients.. When I decided to pursue a career in law I was met with a lot of “why?” When I dedicated my career to Family Law I was met with even more “why?” What people often do not understand is that the answer to that question is my WHY. People come to me during one of the most difficult periods in their lives. They are looking for an ally, someone to trust, someone to encourage them to not give up or give in. These people and families are why I chose this career path – to help them weather whatever storm they are facing.. I understand the circumstances requiring a Family Law attorney can be emotional, and I strive to be there for my clients through the entire process. I take pride in giving my all to my clients every day. I will not let you give up or give in, and we will give your case our all, together.. Outside the office you can find me exploring Charlotte with my husband and our three dogs: Indiana, Jackson, and Logan (affectionately known as our wiggle pack). If I am not cycling, you might spot me running down Providence Rd. with the wiggle pack tethered at my side. As a Pennsylvania native I am a proud born and raised Pittsburgh sports fan, forever in competition with my Philadelphia husband.. I am admitted to the state of North Carolina Bar and the United States Direct Court, Western District of North Carolina.
I am originally from Gastonia, NC. Thus, I have lived in the Charlotte area the majority of my life. I thoroughly enjoy the many things this city, and the surrounding suburbs have to offer.. In my sparse spare time, I enjoy competitive sports. My primary interests are basketball and golf personally, though I'm a big football fan. My family is a big part of my life.. My practice is a large part of my life. I started my firm because I'm independent, and I wanted to do things my way. I personally interact with each client on a direct basis. I believe the results of my cases indicate there is a part of me in each file. I work hard at what I do.
