I wanted to be a lawyer since I was 12.  No one in my family had been to college, but I knew education was the best path to a full, successful life.  I also liked the idea of helping those who can't help themselves.  That is why the type of law I practice is a good fit for me.

I have been an attorney serving injured people throughout Indiana for more than 30 years.  Whether those injuries were caused by the carelessness of a medical provider, motor vehicle operator, land owner, dog owner or other negligent party, I have worked diligently to represent my clients' best interests.  Unfortunately, sometimes the careless acts of another resulted in a person's death; and though I could never adequately right such a wrong, it has been my humble honor to make a positive difference in the lives of the surviving spouses, parents and children who lost a loved one in the many wrongful death claims I have handled.. I also represent and serve as general counsel for a few small business clients, as well.  These representations have included buying and selling businesses, starting businesses, developing business practices and policies, maintaining business record books, dealing with basic Department of Labor matters, and business succession planning.. Through the aforementioned aspects of my practice, I have developed relationships that have led to my advising clients and preparing estate planning materials such as Wills, Living Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Healthcare Represestative documentation.. I have been married for 31 years to the same wonderful woman.  We have been blessed with a son who is currently in college at Marian University.  We enjoy watching sports and movies, and playing golf as a family.  We have lived in Hendricks County for 23 years.  I relocated my firm office from downtown Indianapolis to the Avon/Danville area in 2020.  I have been in practice with my current law partner, Terry Sorg, since 1998.. I look forward to assisting you.  If I cannot be of help, I likely know someone who can.

I am the Daughter of an attorney and knew that this is what I always wanted to do.  I made a point to get an LL.M in Taxation after my law degree to better understand the various tax implications of estate planning and law.  I volunteer for the terminally ill in estate planning and tax matters and have for a few groups for 23 years or more.  One of my cases involved a wretched case of Elder Abuse and I pursued it for 7 years, 1997-2005.  I took it personally and stood up for Harold because no one else would.  Elder Abuse is pernicious and not to be tolerated.  In addition, I work with Special Needs Trusts to protect potential assets of those with special needs. It is a big part of what motivates me.. I was raised in San Francisco but went to High School here in Danville, where I now live with my family.  I have listed some litigation cases to show my general experience but they were cases that were filed so were public record.  On the other hand, my estate planning clients are very important to me. Their privacy and confidentiality are critical to me so you will not see me list the many cases or estate plans I have done because I will not 'name names' for better publicity or scores.  Their privacy, like yours, is more important.
