You should know that I was suspended for 30 days for, in essence, inconveniencing the court. I was found to have engaged in conduct that was deemed prejudicial to the administration of justice. That conduct consists of: (1) appearing by telephone without prior authorization of the Josephine County Court; (2) not answering the telephone call of the Josephine County Court because either the receptionist was using the bathroom at the time of the call or the office telephone system malfunctioned; (3) missing a court appearance in Josephine County because my calendaring clerk made a clerical error; and (4) the late filing of a motion to postpone a trial in Josephine County. In my experience, Josephine County Oregon is a unique place. As a result of the suspension, I have changed the way that I handle my business. I have replaced the office telephone system and I personally attend to all of my calendaring needs. I no longer rely on any employee in any dealing with the Josephine County Court. Commonly, lawyers are suspended for misconduct for an act of fraud, deceit, dishonesty, criminal conduct, or misrepresentation that reflects adversely on the lawyer's fitness to practice law. I was not suspended for anything like that. I hope that you will read my reviews and qualifications and conclude that I am worthy of your trust.

REVIEW: "Ms. Vincent was knowledgeable and professional and most certainly worth the investment. She helped us clearly plan a strategy to best move forward from our difficult situation." Darcy.. Avvo requests that I use this section to write personal information about myself that cannot be found in my education and experience section. I will try to hit some highlights of my life before and after becoming a lawyer. My father was a Major General in the Marine Corps, a highly decorated fighter pilot. Sadly he passed away in April, 2015. My mother is a talented artist, golfer, cook, and seamstress. I have two brothers, one an airline Captain based in Boulder City, NV, and the other one is a self-employed Electrician. I was married almost 27 years to a landscape contractor and we operated a landscape construction business together from 1978 to 1991 in California and Oregon. We divorced in 2005. I also operated a Quarter Horse breeding farm in the Colestin area, just south of Mt. Ashland for 10 years with 23 mares and a syndicated stallion named Johnny O'MacQue. Upon the death of the stallion, I went back to college and finished my undergraduate degree in 1991 and then attended University of Oregon School of Law graduating in 1996. I have lived in Medford, Oregon since 1992, and commuted from Medford to Eugene twice a week to attend my last two years of law school. I am a zealous animal lover and have a Maine Coon Cat that adopted me while I was attending a function at the Rogue Valley Country Club in 2011. In 2012, I purchased the most handsome and gorgeous AKC Belgian Tervuren dog and trained him in agility. He's at the top level now and headed towards his MACH, Masters of Agility Champion. I trained and showed him to his AKC obedience title CDX also. In 2014 I purchased another handsome devil, a AKC Belgian Sheepdog who is now trained in agility and will begin his show career this year (2016). I love to care for the landscape at my home and even mow my own lawns. I have many wonderful friends in the Southern Oregon area and Southern California as well (where I lived in my youth). I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). I have a positive attitude and always look for the good in people I meet. I feel very compassionate towards others with health problems, disabilities, the homeless, veterans, and people suffering from loss. Thank you for reading this if you read to the end.
My first mentor was Stanley Jones. I was an associate of and of counsel to the Giacomini, Jones & etc, Klamath Falls law firm for a period of about 20 years. For that firm I tried a number of cases in Klamath Falls and other courts around the state, defending insurance companies against the claims of injured persons.. About 30 years ago I saw the light and since then I have not represented insurance companies, but have only represented injured persons in their claims against insurance companies.. In injury cases, my goal is to get my clients a fair settlement. In some cases a trial or arbitration is necessary to get a resolution.. My Mentor in the area of probate law was Anthony Giacomini, who helped me handle many complicated probates.

Injuries can change your life permanently or temporarily. When people drive drunk, or are careless and they injure another person, something should be done. High-quality ongoing education helps me stay on top of the best practices and research on injury cases and trial work. I also read the best books on these topics. From a young age, I have been involved in community service. From volunteering with programs to serve the homeless, to working with young children at my church, I have always enjoyed helping others. The same passion and drive that sent me to Mexico to build houses for homeless families led me to law school. I have continued volunteering for community groups and am involved in many activities, including organizing and speaking at events raising awareness about human trafficking in Oregon.
I have nearly 20 years of trial experience in Oregon. In that time I have defended at least 6500 criminal cases, many of those were Measure 11 and Murder cases. Family law, bankruptcy and personal injury law are the other areas where I focus: stopping the harassment by creditors, fighting for custody or parental rights (focusing on the best interests of the children), and negotiating fair compensation for injuries sustained at the fault of someone else.. I am dedicated and focused on my client's needs. Together with my amazing team comprised of a paralegal, a legal assistant, and a law clerk, I zealously defend client rights. Pretrial motion work is an area in which I focus - oftentimes these pretrial motions resolve an entire case - if not, negotiating deals or battling it out at trial are areas in which I excel. I will always be real - you get the honest truth from me about your case and the legal options available to resolve it.. Zealous, vigilant, and honorable advocacy you can truly count on.
I counsel businesses in a variety of industries on formation, employment, contractual, and corporate governance issues, as well as acquisitions and stock sale/purchases. I enjoy working with small business owners to identify opportunities and methods to use the law to accomplish their strategic goals. I also represent clients in real property matters, including residential and commercial real property disputes and transactions, including landlord/tenant issues. My practice is not confined to transactional work - I also assist with commercial, employment, real property, and professional liability litigation.
I concentrate in Elder Law and Estate Planning, including Medicaid Planning, Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorney. I am a former teacher and reference librarian, and I have served as a Trustee of the Tewksbury Public Library.
I believe in dedicated, client-driven advocacy. I have aggressively represented well over 1000 clients in Jackson and Josephine Counties since 2009. A career as a trial attorney is exciting and rewarding. Fighting for my clients against any odds and creatively defending cases against the power of the state is my highest priority.. I have tried dozens of cases to a jury, including more than 20 Driving Under the Influence trials. I have argued hundreds of motions and sentencings, appeared thousands of time in Court, handled hundreds of felonies and Measure 11 cases, and negotiated excellent resolutions or dismissals for the great majority of my clients.. In addition to my commitment to my clients and my practice I am a lifelong Oregonian, a passionate gardener and cook, an avid hiker, and a voracious reader.. I will work tirelessly, creatively, and intelligently on any case and any problems that arise in my clients’ lives. I am confident that you will find me to be a pleasure to work with.
Every client I have the privilege of representing has a unique case with a specific set of circumstances. I approach our work together by taking immediate charge of the case in a results-driven way with consistency, dependability and a focused, proven strategy. I handle myself well with others, especially during adverse and contentious circumstances – a skill set not everyone possesses. The valuable lessons I learned during my professional baseball career are parlayed into the professional arena of my law practice. I know innately what it takes to win. I work the case harder and am always prepared. I am responsible, reasonable and care for my clients’ welfare. Most importantly, my clients need to make their decisions with the understanding that I have listened to their concerns, put my interests aside, and that I really want them to make the best decision for themselves.. She believes that it is so important to truly get to know clients and to earn their trust and confidence.. “I try to make myself as available as possible to my clients,” she said. “I am also extremely detail oriented, thorough, and attentive – traits that are especially useful when it comes to ensuring fairness in negotiations.”. For many people facing divorce or family-law related issues, it is one of the most difficult times in their lives. Boston divorce attorney Dana Lauer understands all the complications that go into family law. It is Ms. Lauer’s attention to the minutiae of the law that makes her an expert on the topic, and enables her to more effectively serve clients.. She understands how critical preparation, including legal research and writing, are to the success of a client’s case, whether it be at a motions hearing, settlement conference or a trial.. “I will use all resources available to me to help achieve the results clients want,” Ms. Lauer said. “These resources include conferencing matters with other family law attorneys for strategic purposes, preparing diligently at every step in your case, and asking the right questions to present the case in the most favorable light.”. Ms. Lauer finds family law compelling because it is a narrow area of law that allows her to truly be an expert in the law and procedure. Specializing on the topic gives her the ability to represent clients both effectively and efficiently, but she also realizes that every case presents a unique set of circumstances.. “That gives rise to interesting challenges regarding strategy and implementation of resources,” Ms. Lauer said.

"I learned the real estate business at the dinner table. Growing up, my parents bought and sold property. They also own several rental properties. I accompanied my family to property showings, closings, and leasing transactions. Therefore, I learned all of the detailed components of deal-making from an early age (and learned from their mistakes.)". "My legal training and litigation experience increased my knowledge of the intimate particulars that go into real estate transactions. I am different from other real estate attorneys because I have worked on all sides of the transaction: in the lending department at banks, in collections, and as real estate attorney. Handling 100’s of purchase negotiations made me an expert negotiator. My previous training as a Social Worker and Life Coach has also made me an excellent listener.". "More recently, I have used my extensive knowledge of real estate transactions to assist people facing foreclosure and short sales. I am adept at understanding all collections matters from the inside out, including loan modifications, bankruptcy, repossessions, and credit reporting issues.". "Buying and selling a home is one of life’s biggest stressors. I am a true believer, however, that life is all about expectations. Due to my wealth of knowledge and experience regarding real estate transactions, I can take away your stress by setting up expectations and answering all your questions up front. I will keep you informed every step of the way and consult with you about your options so you can feel comfortable throughout the entire transaction and even after the transaction ends.”
