Not accepting new clients at this time.. Pragmatic, Prescient, Purposeful and Powerful,. Pragmatic:  Your goal is my goal.  I want to get you there in the way that will most effectively allow you to direct your attention to your business goals, your family life or your future.  Sometimes, this means taking out all the stops and litigating every little issue, but more often, it means resolving issues early on, in a way that preserves the dignity of all parties and prevents further problems in the future.  For businesses, it can mean building systems to ensure compliance with laws, contracts and policies.. Prescient:  I can see trends and how they will affect my clients.  Together, clients and I have affected the laws that were made, the regulations that were implemented and the trends in litigation.  As in-house counsel for a national, highly-regulated company, I was able to develop systems and an environment that caught problems in their early stages.  Despite significant company growth, I managed never to add attorneys to staff.. Purposeful:  Raised in a family of engineers, I am always looking for ways to make things work better.   This includes societal issues like working for justice for our children- freeing future generations from emotional or physical abuse, ensuring basics of food, housing, medicine and education and not saddling them with staggering debt.  It also includes making the legal system work better for my individual clients.. Powerful:  I've earned and made good use of leadership positions in a corporation, trade and professional associations and community organizations.
