While in law school Jaime received book awards in Cyberspace Law and Law of War. Mr. Brownlee handles civil and criminal appeals in Florida and in federal courts of appeal across the country. He is licensed to practice in each of Florida's appellate courts and most of the federal circuit courts of appeal. In addition to Florida's district courts of appeal, Mr. Brownlee has performed oral argument at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Boston, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Cincinnati, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta. He has also been lead appellate counsel in two appeals before the Florida Supreme Court. Mr. Brownlee is a member of the Appellate Practice section of the Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association's Appellate Practice Committee. I was the first in my family to graduate from college. I married my high school sweetheart at 19. Today, we have two adult sons and two grand-dogs, and are still married after nearly 40 years.. For the last 30-something years, I have served as a legal advocate - first as a government lawyer representing the State of Florida and, more recently, as a defense attorney representing those accused and convicted of crimes. It is the only type of law I have ever practiced and the only type of law I have ever cared to practice.. I opened my own firm in 1998 in Orlando, where I was born and raised. It’s just me and my assistant, Naomi. Being detail-oriented, I prefer a small case load, one that allows me to provide personalized attention to my clients and their families.. Growing up in Michigan to a blended middle-class family, a strong work ethic was instilled in Attorney Jennifer M. Manyen at an early age. The third of seven, Jennifer as the only female, learned at a very young age how her arguments could be heard and recognized. Attorney Manyen’s love for the warm weather led her to call Florida home, where she attained her Juris Doctorate from Florida A & M College of Law, and Political Science Bachelor from University of Central Florida.. Attorney Manyen clerked at a national appellate litigation firm, drafting countless State and Federal direct appeals, post-conviction petitions, and writs of habeas corpus. There, she was exposed to the procedure and laws of numerous states including Texas, New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina.. As a former business professional, Attorney Jennifer M. Manyen fought for the rights of business owners and tenants alike, gaining first-hand experience with the intricacies of property law. Attorney Manyen has a knack for legal writing, which has led her to do extensive research and writing on numerous contemporary environmental issues, fueled by her interest in Space law and travel. Dayna practices appellate law in a wide range of civil subject areas, with a focus on family law, dependency law, adoption law, and contract disputes. She offers attorney clients litigation support and trial preparation, including consulting on complex cases, drafting intricate motions, and performing extensive research.. A native Floridian, Dayna grew up in south and central Florida. She graduated from Dr. Phillips High School and earned her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from University of Central Florida, concentrating in interdisciplinary studies with a blend of English literature, journalism, mass communications, and sociology.. Dayna previously worked in civil liability defense, insurance defense, and employment law. She graduated from Florida State University College of Law where she gained valuable experience as a Certified Legal Intern at the Public Interest Law Center. There, she represented indigent clients and children in prison. Dayna also received the Distinguished Pro Bono Service certificate for her legal education efforts and her pro bono litigation and trial work. She was a teaching assistant in the school’s Juris Master program, where she worked in both Health Care Fraud and Abuse, and Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance courses..
