While attending California State University of Northridge, Ms. Banos participated in a National Student Exchange Program. Through this program she was given the opportunity to also attend City University of New York's Hunter College, in Manhattan.. Ms. Banos is passionate about equality and fairness in law and business. I am a 2012 graduate of Suffolk Univiersity School of Law. I graduated from The William S. Boyd School of Law in Las Vegas Nevada. While attending school, I was able to gain practical experience in different areas of law. I spent a semester working at the Clark County District Attorney's Office where I was able to help with a variety of high profile cases. I worked by alongside The Honorable Wesley Yamashita, Probate Commissioner of Clark County, Nevada. I was able to learn at his side, discussing and briefing litigation cases. I was able to sit next to The Commissioner in court, and was able to see the entire process from the inside. My experience with The Commissioner was invaluable to me in preparing to practice. I moved to St. George and began practicing Family Law. I find great value in helping families navigate the complexities of domestic and family Law. I now specialize in complicated divorce and family law matters. My main areas of practice are divorce including modifications and enforcement, custody, paternity, adoption and guardianships and any and all other family law matters.. I am proud to be married to the best person I have ever met, who is an amazing mother to our four wonderful children. We enjoy serving in our church, familiy road trips, outdoor acitivites, and golf.

I have been a practicing attorney in the Southern Utah area since 2003.  I have handled contested divorce matters ranging from few assets to multimillion dollar marital estates. Laja is an experienced attorney having practiced law for over 20 years. She received her bachelor's degree from Scripps College in California and obtained her law degree from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver. She was a former prosecutor in the Arizona handling major crimes in the family violence unit. She has also served as a City Prosecutor in Colorado handling cases involving abused and neglected children. She has had a private practice in both Arizona and Colorado representing adults and juveniles in criminal, juvenile, civil and appellate matters. She is thrilled to have opened a practice here in Utah serving the residents of Park City and the surrounding areas. She brings knowledge, compassion and dedication to every case she handles.
