I have always wanted to help people.  But after many years as a mid-level accounting supervisor, I felt completely unfulfilled and decided it was time to follow my childhood dream and go to law school.  I attended Empire College School of Law, in Sonoma County, California, and graduated in 2011.  I took the California State Bar Exam in July 2011 and was admitted to the bar in December 2011.. I have been a single mom for most of my children's lives.  I have been through divorce and I have been through custody cases.  I have a first hand perspective of what it's like to be a family law client.  Having this experience allows me to truly understand you.  It also allows me to have a real perspective on not only what you are going through emotionally, but also what you can expect throughout the family law process.. I record a weekly video on YouTube where I answer family law questions or give helpful tips about family law related matters, called Coffee Breaks with Beki.  I keep the videos between 10-15 minutes, so that you can watch them on your coffee break!. When I'm not practicing law, I enjoy watching my son play sports or going on hikes / adventures with my husband.  I hold state records for powerlifting in the USAPL for my age/weight class and enjoy body building.

I love my work, but I also love to play.  You can find me mountain biking, playing in a men's baseball league, throwing frisbee, running, playing in my band, and generally just having fun with my kids and my family.  It is important to take time to play.  Unfortunately, too many times we let the stress of everyday life take over and forget the therapuetic qualities of playing.  I encourage my clients to take time and play even though they are going through what likely is the single most difficult time in their life becasue it allows them to obtain clarity, which is so important when facing some of the most significant and difficult decisions they will ever make.

Since 1995, Attorney Bret E. Campoy has been practicing family law in Santa Rosa, California.. In 2008, he became certified by the State of California as a specialist in this field. Kara is a family law attorney who has been practicing for over 13 years. She became a partner with the firm in 2009. Jennifer Applegate has been practicing family law in Sonoma County since 2008. He chose to attend law school in Santa Rosa because he could work with practicing attorneys and for the District Attorneys Office, while studying the law. He completed his law degree and passed the bar shortly thereafter.. Brian has been practicing law and primarily family law for more than 15 years now. He previously worked for the Sonoma County District Attorney and the Child Support Department, before starting his own law practice. Since then he’s guided families and individuals through the legal process in all types of cases, including civil, criminal and family law. Over time he chose to narrow down his practice to the area of family law, because he felt he had a more direct impact with his clients in this area of the law.. During his time off work, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, coaching baseball and basketball, golfing with friends and working out to reduce the stress load of a legal practice. Mr. Seidel has been certified as a specialist in Family Law by the State Bar Of California Board of Legal Specialization since 2004. Mr. Seidel is an experienced trial attorney who has successfully handled cases of all levels of complexity from inception through appeal, even reversing a judicial officer through the appellate process. Mr. Seidel has not only handled trials in the family law context, but has successfully handled civil jury and bench trials and trials in Federal Court.
