She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1984 and her Bachelor of Science in 1979; both from the University of Oregon. Prior to entering private practice in 1992, Laura served as Deputy District Attorney in the Marion County District Attorney’s Office; as Assistant Attorney General in the Oregon Department of Justice; and on the staff of the U.S. Department of Justice, the Office of Chief Counsel, and the Drug Enforcement Administration in Washington, D.C.
