Ashley and her husband, TJ live with their son, Theo, and their daughter, Drew in Des Moines, Iowa.  In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and friends and competing in running events.  Ashley's passion is competitive road racing.  She is the 2009 Lincoln Marathon Champion a 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials Qualifier. She holds a personal best of 2:44:06 for the marathon distance.

Helen Ashford is a managing partner at Luckett & Ashford. She counsels clients on a wide range of family law-related matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, maintenance, visitation/parenting time, property division, parentage, contempt and enforcement proceedings, legal separation, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, domestic violence and financial planning. She has recently represented spouses of sports and entertainment figures in multi-million dollar disputes involving child custody, complex financial matters and other issues related to divorce. Helen has been successful in obtaining visitation for grandparents, representing clients in same-sex divorce and representing clients in nontraditional family situations.. Helen is a compassionate attorney who is sensitive to the emotions involved in family law matters. She focuses on providing common sense solutions in lieu of expensive, long-lasting litigation, while providing aggressive, uncompromising representation. In addition to family law, Helen serves as an administrative law judge for Chicago Public Schools and several charter schools in the City of Chicago. She is currently an adjunct professor at City Colleges of Chicago where she lectures on a wide range of legal topics.. Helen received her law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University and her undergraduate degree from Alabama A&M University, where she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society.

Ms. Spector is a Managing Partner of Hicks & Spector, LLC.  She is licensed to practice law in the States of Illinois and Missouri (inactive).. Ms. Spector received a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she majored in Marketing and minored in Psychology.  During her time at The University of Illinois, Ms. Spector was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi, the National Society for Collegiate Scholars and served as a student facilitator for the First Year Impact freshman orientation program.. Ms. Spector then received her Juris Doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale, Illinois.  Throughout law school, Ms. Spector was an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, as well as the student divisions of the Illinois State Bar Association and American Bar Association.. Ms. Spector went on to receive a Master’s of Business Administration from the Southern Illinois University Graduate School in Carbondale, Illinois.  While attending business school, Ms. Spector worked as a Graduate Assistant with the Southern Illinois University Center for Innovation and became a Certified Small Business Consultant.  In 2010, as a result of her studies and involvement with the Business Graduate School, Ms. Spector received the Asthagiri Chandra Sekaran Award and was named the Most Outstanding Woman M.B.A. Graduating Student.. Since graduating from law and business schools, Ms. Spector has represented clients in the St. Louis Metro and Metro East areas in not only family law cases, but in a variety of other civil litigation settings,  Ms. Spector also established Hicks & Spector, LLC, with her colleague and friend, Kelly Garrett-Hicks.. Ms. Spector is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the St. Clair County Bar Association and the Madison County Bar Association.. She lives in Edwardsville, Illinois with her husband, daughter and pets.
