My legal practice is open to all clients.  In general practice I focus on personal injury, family law, immigration and appeals, transactional work, and  criminal defense.  I also represent clients in mediation and arbitration.. I grew up on a farm and have been in practice in Central Kansas since 1996.  My practice is primarily centered around family issues, including all matters of divorce, child custody, child support, visitation, parentage actions (including same sex parentage, divorce and other LGBQT+ issues), guardians, conservators, and issues involving elder law.  I am also a master's level social worker and I obtained my Master's degree from the University of Kansas.  I provide mediation services, including parent coordination, settlement conferences and I represent children as a Court appointed guardian ad litem.  I have served as the President of the Family Law Section of the Kansas Bar Association on two separate occasions and remain on the administrative Board.  I have served as the Saline County Bar Association President.  I am on the Board of the Saline County Law Library and am a member of the Kansas Bar Association Board of Governors.. I am active in my church and follow my children's sports, music and other events, and am an advid exerciser as well.  I love horses and have three of my own who are completely spoiled.. Attorney Amy Durkin is the Managing Attorney for our Kansas City office. Amy has practiced all areas of family law, including divorce, paternity, custody, protective orders, and adoptions for over 30 years.. Amy attended Washburn University for her undergraduate studies and received her law degree from Baylor University School of Law. Amy was employed by Heart of Texas Legal Services and then Kansas Legal Services early in her career, where she largely represented women who had experienced domestic violence. This sparked a passion in her for representing and empowering women, who often feel like they are the underdog in divorce and custody matters.. Amy has successfully argued two cases before the Kansas Supreme Court, setting precedence in two areas which impact family law cases.. Amy is licensed in Kansas and Texas. She is a member of the Kansas Bar Association and the Douglas County Bar Association.. When not working, Amy enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, photography, and attending live music events.

Paula D. Langworthy has been in private practice in Wichita, Kansas, since her graduation from Washburn University School of Law in December, 2005, except for the time period she served as Chief Judge of the Oglala Lakota Tribal Courts in South Dakota in 2011 and 2012. She has a wide variety of practice experience, including family law, contested estate litigation, contested adoptions, and general civil litigation. Since 2016, Paula has focused her practice primarily on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, parenting time, paternity, prenuptial agreements, guardianships, adoption, and child-in-need of care cases. Monica’s academic excellence earned a full-tuition scholarship to Washburn University School of Law, where she attained her Juris Doctorate. Chris Randle grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas where he was part of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and the history honors society Phi Alpha Theta. Chris worked as an intern with the Shawnee County District Attorney in law school with the responsibility of prosecuting crimes of domestic violence. He worked for the City of Wichita as a prosecutor and as an Assistant District Attorney in Sedgwick County and was part of both the general trial division and the gang and violent crime unit. Before joining Penner Lowe, he also worked doing structured settlements on workers’ compensation and high liability cases, and as an attorney for Cordell and Cordell handling exclusively family law issues for a wide range of clients.. Chris has spent most of his adult life in the military and has served multiple assignments throughout the world. Chris served in Baghdad, Iraq in 2006-2007 with the U.S. Army as a legal assistance officer, operational law officer advising commanders on a wide range of military operations, and as a federal military magistrate reviewing search warrants and presiding over preliminary hearings on military criminal cases. He served his second deployment in 2010, this time as a Civil Affairs Officer in Djibouti, Africa. In Africa, Chris was the executive officer for a civil affairs company and the civil military liaison to the U.S. Embassy for Djibouti.. As the liaison, he was responsible for briefing the U.S. Ambassador on civil military operations in the area. He also served in numerous assignments throughout the United States, including as the Chief of Operational Law for the 1st Cavalry Division, Special Victims’ Counsel at Fort Leavenworth, and as a Fiscal and Administrative Law attorney at First Army Headquarters in Rock Island, Illinois.. Chris currently serves as an Army Reservist and is the Staff Judge Advocate for the 412th Theater Engineer Command in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Chris has been advising Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines for more than 16 years on issues that affect servicemembers and their families. He is licensed in multiple states and jurisdictions. Chris enjoys working out, reading Army history, volunteering, and cheering on his childhood home team the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mindy Ellen Wheeler is a proud Wichita native, and a graduate of Wichita East High School and Wichita State University. Before deciding to go to law school, Ms. Wheeler worked in the Wichita banking industry for nearly a decade. Thereafter, she returned to Wichita State University and received her bachelor’s degree in History and Philosophy.  In 2012, she returned home to Wichita after graduating from the University of Iowa College of Law and worked for three years as a legal assistant in a family law practice. In the summer of 2015, while awaiting the results of the Kansas Bar Exam, she began working with attorney Jack Peggs. After learning that she had passed the exam and would be admitted to practice law in Kansas, she and Mr. Peggs decided to form a partnership, combining his vast legal knowledge and many years of law practice experience with her education, experience and energy.
