She also participated in the law school’s Full Representation Family Law Clinic representing clients with divorce, legitimation, paternity, custody, child support, contempt, and modification cases. She volunteered countless hours of her time assisting indigent clients as well as working as a Guardian ad Litem for children removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect.. Alexa is the current Vice President of Mentoring on the Board of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL). For the past three years, Alexa and her committee have overseen three large scale programs for female attorneys with over 200 participants in Georgia. Alexa takes an active role leading several networking and discussion groups in the legal community. She is also a member of the Family Law section of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association’s Family Law Section and Solo/Small Firm Section. Alexa was one of a select group of experienced attorneys to graduate from the 2017 GAWL Leadership Academy. Cheyayn Davidson is a graduate of the Florida State University College of Law, in Tallahassee, Florida. While attending law school she gained meaningful family law and trial experience by representing indigent clients through the school’s externship program in the family law division of Legal Services of North Florida.. Ms. Davidson competed in the Chester Bedell Mock Trial competition, was a member of the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law, which ranks among the nation’s top 20 journals in environmental law, an Associate Justice on the University’s Supreme Court, and a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society.

Vette received her Juris Doctor (summa cum laude) from Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University, where she was ranked in the top three percent of her class. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Having served as president, vice president and treasurer of the Southwest Colorado Bar Association, Vette organized the First Annual Legal Research Fair in Southwest Colorado and was a board member of Southwest Colorado Volunteer Legal Aid. Vette is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Florida. Vette has represented numerous clients in dissolutions of marriage, custody disputes, domestic violence hearings and adoption cases. Experienced in division of complex assets and appeals before the Colorado Court of Appeals, she is proficient in cross examination, has handled numerous contested hearings, and authored several articles on marital and family law that were published in the Durango Herald newspaper. Vette is also trained in collaborative law and is a certified mediator.

Lora L. Steverson has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2007 and has focused her practice in the areas of Family Law and Landlord Tenant Law.. Lora was born and raised in Mooresville, Indiana. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Indiana University in 1994 graduating on the Dean’s List and where she was a member of the Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha. She was the recipient of a Rotary Foundation Scholarship where she studied abroad at Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Ecuador en la facultad de Jurisprudencia. She earned her Juris Doctor Degree from Florida State University College of Law where she was a member of the Jessup Moot Court Team and the Women’s Law Symposium President. Lora is currently active in several professional organizations as well as community groups. She has served for several years on the Board for the Sarasota Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers as Director, Treasurer, President and Past President. She received the FAWL (Florida Association For Women Lawyers) Leader in the Law Award in 2022.
