Injured at work. Should I get a lawyer?
workers compensation attorney Hawaii Aug 27, 2026
Location: Hawaii Hi, so back in March I got injured while at work. I have been out since so I am on workers comp. However, I feel like my medical care has been severely delayed due to workers comp. My adjuster ignores any of my questions that I have asked since may. It takes months for approvals to go through before I can even get an appointment scheduled. My life has been severely impacted by this considering I am in constant pain and severely limited to what I can do. I don’t want to get super in depth in case my work sees this but i was injured due to something falling on my neck at no fault of my own, however no one saw it but I did report it immediately. The thing that fell on my neck was broken and I had reported it a week prior and was told it had been fixed. A lot of my friends say that I just sue my work, but at this point honestly I just want to receive prompt medical care and potentially something for pain and suffering. I mean I am honestly more upset with the insurance company that is handling the workers comp case than my actual company. So is getting a lawyer the move here and if so please refer me to someone if you can because I don’t even know where to begin.
