British airlines double refunded me? What to do?

Location: Texas, United States I payed for two tickets totaling 2,500$, I cancelled within the 24 hour period to qualify for a full refund. The first full refund posted about 2 weeks ago. I woke up a couple days ago to another 2500 refund. Purchases were made on a credit card and money went to paying off an existing balance (rebooked airline tickets and Airbnb stay). I’ve called them a couple of times to take the money back, they don’t know what happened. Do they have a certain timeframe they have to get the money back? Or do I have to worry about them taking it back months down the line?
