I don’t know anyone with a dwi and I’m just curious about consequences for other people in Arkansas. I totaled my truck, have a suspended license, had no passengers, complied with the breathalyzer and arrest but blew .172. I was respectful to the officers and spent the night in jail. Has anyone gotten probation, drug tests, community service, fines, classes, extra jail time, etc for their consequences? I’m using the public defender bc hiring a lawyer is way too expensive.

Location: Arkansas I received immobilization via booting from being improperly parked on my apartment's property. I was less than a foot over the line, and was knocked for "double parking." I would normally understand, but there are specific circumstances that make me believe it's unreasonable. - The booting company is a 3rd party, and my leasing office told me I had to work it out with them - Lease specifies towing as a result of improper parking, not immobilization - There is no signage that states booting will occur - Parking lines are very faded in that area, and less than 10 feet away the lines aren't visible at all - I parked at night and parked based off location to other vehicles, not by checking the lines as they weren't clearly visible - I have noticed others parked in a similar fashion who have not received a boot Any advice is welcome, thanks!

Location: Arkansas I cannot add screenshots so I will try to add word for word what the messages and contracts say. My husband and I are coming up on closing on a house. We waited to be sure nothing fell through and felt confident after reading the buy out contract we signed for our lease renewal. Here is how the contract is set up. In one paragraph is says, " BUY-OUT PROCEDURES. You may buy out of the Lease Contract prior to the end of the lease term and cut off all liability for paying rent for the remainder of the lease term if all of the following occur: (a) you give us written notice of buy-out at least_60 days prior to the new termination date (i.e., your new move-out date), which (check one) must be the last day of a month or X may be during a month; (b) you specify the new termination date in the notice, i.e., the date by which you'll move out; (c) you are not in default under the Lease Contract on the date you give us the notice of buy-out; (d) you are not in default under the Lease Contract on the new termination date (move-out date); (e) you move out on or before the new termination date and do not hold over: (f) you pay us a buy-out fee (consideration) of$_ 960.00 (g) you pay us the amount of any concessions you received when signing the Lease Contract; and (h) you comply…

Location: Arkansas. Backstory, my neighbors have an access easement on my property to get to their home. This easement is documented and in writing with paperwork from the county. My Neigbors have always considered this “their” Property, and have tried to argue it multiple times by verbally trying to kick us off us it. They sued the previous owner in 2006 and lost while trying to obtain it as a private drive. Documents do indicate they are to maintain it as needed. The current issues. We use the easement and as a piece of our property(since it is) , we frequently walk it, ride an ATV/ dirtbike on it to access other pieces of our property (recreational use). We recently received a letter from an attorneys office representing our Neigbors stating the easement is not to be used for a “recreational race track” and that we are damaging it and will seek us for compensation if we do not stop driving/riding on it. No damage has occurred while we use it as it is simply a gravel road and is not easily rutted / washed out. Is this something concerning or a lawsuit and winnable? Should we get an attorney on retainer and send a counter letter? These Neighbors are from hell, have placed debris, trash, trimmings on our property off the easement and tried to argue with multiple neighbors on the surrounding properties.

Location: Arkansas I interviewed recently for a job. I am 50 years old, and admittedly look at least that old, it's been a life full of both fun and hard times. During the interview, the hiring manager said he wasn't sure how to ask, then said something along the lnes of "Oh well, we don't have HR anyway". He then said the team was younger than him and sometimes he had trouble relating. I assured him that wouldn't be a problem. Cut to several days later and I am informed that the job went to someone else, that while they liked my resume they had someone who was a better "culture and team fit". I was also told I should bring more energy to the interview. This all seems to add up to me to a case of age discrimination. I have filed an enquiry with EEOC but I'm wondering if it is a waste of time.
