Location: California Background: In October 2024, I began suffering from a severe neurological condition, with symptoms beginning three days after receiving a flu vaccine. Subsequently, I was treated through the ER, urgent care, my primary-care doctor, had an MRI, and was evaluated by a neurologist, but I remained undiagnosed. The symptoms were severe and had a significant impact on my life, including permanent nerve damage and neck disfigurement. About a year later, I discovered information about a possible connection between the flu vaccine and my neurological injuries. I brought the information and medical literature to my neurologist. She told me that she found it compelling and said she would refer me to a neurologist specializing in Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) for further evaluation. After that appointment, I began requesting copies of my medical records, but the neurologist's office repeatedly refused or delayed releasing them. In January, I was told that my records were available and that I needed to pay an amount due of $500.64 before they would be released. I paid the amount the same day, but the records were still not provided. The neurologist also never followed through on the promised referral to the GBS specialist. When I contacted the GBS specialist myself, I was told they had not received the referral. Six months ago, I filed complaints with the California Osteopathic Medical Board and the HHS Office for Civil Rights regarding the medical-record issue. Location: Sacramento California So for context I do a lot of political work with orgs and I got arrested for stuff that happened at a ICE protest I got federal charges do to it (since DHS is federal law enforcement) and part of my release on recognizance was I was not allowed to violate and federal local or state laws I was recently arrested and charged for an incident at the nick Shirley event in Sacramento where I got into a fight with one of the attendees and I was charged with battery I talked to my lawyer and she said since Ive only been charged that I should be fine but my parents are claiming that she isn't telling the fully truth so I want your advice

Location: California Married for 10 years we have a 4 year old and a 3 month old. Husband is emotionally withdrawn and verbally / emotionally abusive in front of the kids and I’d really like to leave. Is there any way I can get better than 50/50 custody? I manage like 90% of my kids everyday lives and the household. He doesn’t cook or clean or take care of anything for them beyond babysitting and playing. He does daycare drop offs and pick ups more often now since the newborn, otherwise it was 50-50. Financially we’re both stable and earn equally. He has a few career gaps and I have the more stable career but nothing glaring. He has a prescription for some depression medication that he doesn’t regularly take or seem to be working. It’s mainly the fact that I do all the household / family labor. Including social. He has no friends, and I’m the only one that interacts with all of my kids’ parent friends / activities etc. He doesn’t even feed himself properly so I worry about the kids nutrition. He doesn’t show up on time for school or any of the kids commitments. Is there any way to get anything more than 50-50? And if you suggest I document things, please explain exactly what and how. ETA: If my husband is ok with less than 50-50 would that be a possibility? Would it be different in a different state like Washington or Texas?

Location: Virginia Long story short, I've paid rent on time for a year. Before the new month started, I said I'm personally planning on leaving soon(for a raise at my job just didn't say), she said her nephew is coming from California and she needs the room back. I'm under a 30 day signed lease but she told me August 26 to leave September 1st. I'm not upset, I knew what I said, but can I sue her for the rent difference the first month and any moving expenses, tallying out to about 200 dollars?? I'm also moving because I feel harassed, my roommates don't know any boundaries, I was blamed for pest that I eradicated under 24 hours. And someone has been stealing from me in the yard when I had permission from the landlord she just didn't care. Expense or breach of contract lawsuit? All I did was complain but she said there were no complaints in the end. Oh yeah the downstairs neighbor was also banging on the ceiling unnecessarily and screaming I also told her about then this guy put a stick up on my window trying to knock down some motion sensor lights I put to catch this thief I didn't want to point any finger but one day he complained and the lights weren't even out there.

Location: California Hi all just looking for advice I work for a dealership have been here since 2023 as a master service technician. we recently got a new service manager 2 weeks ago and apparently now it’s an issue that I have tickets on my record from 2024 July and 2023 October just Minor traffic offenses. Because of those tickets I was forced to sign this agreement because supposedly the company insurance can’t cover me even though it was never an issue before he was here. So my question is this are they allowed to stop me from driving my car off premises and off the clock i attached the agreement they sent me agreement
