I grew up in Davis, California, the daughter of a criminal defense lawyer and the oldest of three children. I graduated from California State University having attended both the Sonoma State and Sacramento State campuses with a degree in Government. While in College, I worked as a legal assistant in my dad's Law Office. Following college, I attended the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. In my third year of law school, I had the privilege of interning in the Felony Division of the Denver Public Defender's Office and was a student law clerk in the Denver County Juvenile Court. In the past, I had a diverse civil litigation practice encompassing the areas of Family Law and Contract disputes.. After more than a decade of litigation, I decided to adjust my practice and focus on keeping clients out of court. Drawing on my experience as a litigator, I help my clients avoid seeing the inside of a courtroom through well-crafted contracts and agreements. My practice is currently limited to Estate Planning, Oil and Gas contracts, Small Business Contracts and Succession planning. Now the only time I go to court is for Landlord/Tenant disputes. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, exploring Colorado's great outdoors, reading, gardening, cooking and volunteering in my community.

Ms. Hoffman has a Masters in Taxation from New York University School of Law, and represents individual and organizational clients in all aspects of tax planning and controversy resolution. Ms. Hoffman has extensive experience in the area of tax-exempt organizations. These projects have been undertaken on behalf of national and international charities, schools and educational institutions, private foundations, cultural institutions, social service agencies, research organizations, trade and professional associations, social clubs, religious organizations and advocacy groups.. Ms. Hoffman also counsels clients with custom wealth and business succession planning. This work includes federal estate and gift tax analysis and compliance, counsel with respect to fiduciary duties and related disputes, transfers and sales of closely-held business interests, estate and trust administration, and charitable gifting.. Finally, Ms. Hoffman represents clients involved in federal and state tax audits and appeals. On behalf of these clients she has negotiated settlements with the IRS and state and local taxing authorities regarding income tax, sales and use tax, estate and gift tax and property tax disputes.
