Long post, but I want the full picture before I ask for help. CT-specific advice especially welcome. Every subreddit I try to post this in it gets filtered or bot-removed, I am losing patience with this platform. :( Where I was before this job Before I started this role I'd been unemployed for a while, recovering from a third spinal surgery. I took a sole inside sales seat at a small office hardware dealership in New Haven in August 2025. How it went I picked it up fast and I was good at it. I was the only inside sales rep the company had -- no marketing team, no web presence, no real lead-gen beyond a couple of underperforming vendors -- so I ended up owning the CRM, building my own outbound automation from scratch because nothing existed, and running the entire sales cycle myself: prospecting, quoting, closing, order-to-install remote support. By the time I left, roughly 11 months in, I'd closed $400K+ in total contract value across 35+ accounts. I built the lead-gen and CRM infrastructure myself because the company had none apart from a Zoho installation that had served since COVID and was a rat's nest of outdated information owned by ghosts. None of that get-the-company-off-the-ground work was in my job description -- I just kept trying to close the gap between what the company needed and what it was investing back into itself. Location: Connecticut My employer (State of CT) required training on a new digital platform we are all required to use. I completed the training and received my certificate/badge. As part of the union, my union negotiated that we should receive $600 that would be put in our May paycheck. I never received the $600 and immediately let them know. They confirmed that my name was accidently left off of some list for payroll while everyone else got the $600. My union told me to contact HR. I did. HR told me to contact Payroll. I did. Payroll told me to contact my union. So quite literally a circle. As of two weeks ago I emailed everyone, all departments, on 1 email thread explaining the situation. Nobody responded. Followed up last week and today - still no responses. What are my options? I think it's discrimination that I am singled out and the only one not getting the payment for the training.
