Location: Oklahoma. Long story short, thia has been a long 2 years trying to escape the control of my 18 year marriage. The system is beyond broken and I have learned the hard way that this is never going to end fairly. In a nutshell, he has a family member who is his lawyer with a personal foot in this. He is not liked and have been told that he is difficult to deal with and doesn't do fair. This has caused my first lawyer to ghost me and the other party so 5k lost there. Lawyer 2 gave in and was pressuring me into agreeing to things that I shouldn't and when I let him go, I requested the correspondence with the other party and he only gave bits and pieces to me. It appeared after seeing what I had that he was working against me. That was at least 20k. The 3rd lawyer tried his hardest but the trial went awful due to us not being allowed anything to use as proof including my pay stubs for income. He has now ghosted as well and that is 6k that he will automatically get to take. I can't bring myself to report them and ruin reputations over one case and an impossible lawyer to work with. My coworker's husband was detained by ice and is now undergoing the deportation process, does anyone have any experience with this process?we are currently waiting for information about his deporting. Location: Claremore, Oklahoma As the title says, my landlord originally said that we were allowed to have 3 pets. A dog and 2 cats that I have had for at least 3 years and have had them long before we started renting this house. Now my landlord is saying that they never agreed to 3 pets and are telling me I am required to get them all up to date on flea vaccinations and must send proof of so, however I use an over the counter pills that have been perfectly fine On my leading agreement it says "No Pets Allowed" and this was a verbal agreement when we first signed for the lease. Am I required to send proof of the vaccinations? What can I do about her saying she only allowed 2 animals when she in fact did not say 2. I have receipts of rent but I don't have texts or remember how much the total cost was for all 3 per deposits. Also the whole thing that started this was flea outbreak in the home while we were all on vacation (animals were not home either). I have to hire an exterminator which is fine and expected but she is telling me I must send the receipt for that as well, but I plan on using a family member as they own a local exterminator company and planned on doing it for free

Location: Oklahoma Divorced about two years ago. My ex was awarded the marital home and the mortgage. Our decree specifically states that the equity in the house is $100,000 and that I am entitled to $50,000 of that, less deferred child support. It gave her 48 months to assume/refinance the mortgage and pay me the $50,000 less the deferred support. If she couldn’t do that, the decree says the house is to be sold and I’m to be paid my portion of the equity, less the deferred support. She’s now planning to sell before the 48 months are up. Her interpretation is that if the house doesn’t net $100k, whatever equity is actually left after the mortgage, selling costs and repairs gets divided 50/50. My interpretation is that the decree established my portion at $50,000 rather than giving me 50% of whatever the house eventually nets. For example, if the house only nets $60,000 when it’s sold, does that mean we each get $30,000, or would I still be entitled to the $50,000 specified in the decree, minus the deferred child support? One other detail: she’s talking about deducting things like new carpet and painting before determining the equity. Those were already known to be needed when we divorced and when the $100k equity figure was established. I’m going to have an attorney review it before the house sells, but I’m curious if anyone here has dealt with similar language in their decree.

Location: Oklahoma Im going to explain this without revealing details but it’s very disturbing and involves minors and s*xual cohersion and explicit content exposure. If a trigger warning is necessary here it is. My husband and I just discovered 3 days ago that my sister in law has been consistently and explicitly teaching s*xual acts (like oral), showing her personal explicit videos and photos with men, photos of s*x toys, instructions of how to use them, and encouragement “because it’s healthy and feels good,” to minors in her care. My daughter has never been allowed alone with her and that’s been made clear as day to everyone involved, based on my own intuition but no substantial evidence at the time. My FIL allowed her to be without adult supervision at her home. This led to children being encouraged to try these activities even though they did not truly understand the concept. My SIL was made aware of these child on child s*xual acts by one of the children involved and threatened the children not to tell anyone and specifically me and my husband. My daughter has been extremely protected at all costs including no access to internet browser or unmonitored activity on any device. No sleepover unless it’s at our house and they sleep in the living room etc etc. I am very hyper vigilant about these things, because my innocence was also taken young by affected children.
