My wife often jokes that I have a one track mind. Once I set my mind to something, there is no going back. She is right. All my life if I truly wanted something I would stop at nothing to get it. (My wife included). Although she says it is annoying sometimes, as my client it is your greatest asset. I am passionate about seeing that you get the best help possible, and I tenaciously represent your best interests. I know that the IRS can be abusive, manipulative and ruthless. They are the most powerful collection agency out there and I’m your best weapon. Let me tell you a little about who I am and how I got here.... I grew up in Bountiful, Utah. I graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1997. In 1998 I served as a volunteer service missionary for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, for two years. I served in the Netherlands, Amsterdam Mission, where I learned to speak fluent Dutch. Being a missionary basically means service 24 hours a day. It is there that I learned that I wanted to help people for the rest of my life.. My wife, Kellye, grew up in Salt Lake City. We met in February 2002 and after a short engagement we were married by October of that same year. I’ve always wanted to be an attorney, but my schooling was stop and go for a long time. We found out we were expecting a baby in December of 2005. When our first son, Tate, was born the doctor laid him in my arms and I knew right then and there that I had to do better for my son. I remember clearly, I had been working at FedEx in their inside sales department at the time. It was a good job, but not great. I knew I needed to do something more. I looked over at my wife and said to her “I need to go back to school. I need to provide for this family.” And thus my motivation was born. I immediately enrolled in school at Weber State University, graduating Cum Laude in 2008, and then attended Ave Maria School of Law where I received my Juris Doctorate in 2012. During all this schooling we welcomed 2 other boys into our family, Hayden in 2008, and Cole in 2011. My family is my motivator. I love them and thank them for always supporting and believing in me. We now live in Layton City, Utah.. While attending law school I discovered a passion for tax. It was strange, because many of my colleagues thought I was crazy, but it just made sense to me. I now understand why I enjoyed it so much, because it would become a part of my life in helping others who suffer the heavy hand of collection by the IRS. Upon graduation we moved to Oklahoma where I gained invaluable experience in tax problem representation. After living in Oklahoma for about a year we decided that we wouldn’t be truly happy until we were back in Utah. In the summer of 2013 we came back to Utah and I gained further experience in dealing with the IRS while working with a local firm. That’s enough about me, let’s get down to the reason you are visiting this site: You are looking for relief from the sleepless nights, constant fear, and uncertainty that come with the burden of owing the IRS. Read on for a better understanding of where you are, and where you can be. I explained that my wife accuses me of having a one-track mind, and fortunately for you she is right: All I can think about is helping you get past this difficult stage in your life. Let’s change your life for the better!

I am licensed in Arizona and Utah where I have almost exclusively practiced law as a tax attorney since 2006. In addition to working for the General Counsel at the Arizona Department of Revenue, I worked for over 12 years in Big 4 public accounting firms as a tax attorney where I helped lead their state and local tax controversy practices. I have represented clients with diverse business operations in nearly every state. I have an incredible depth of knowledge of Arizona and Utah's tax laws as I ran the state and local tax practices for PwC out of their Phoenix and Salt Lake City markets. In addition to being a state and local tax attorney, I have also spent several years working in private practice as a tax attorney representing clients in the most difficult Federal tax controversy matters befor the IRS and in Federal Tax Court. Also, due to specializing in tax law during law school, I was pulled into PwC's federal tax practice where I provided significant federal tax consulting services for corporations and partnerships in addition to my state and local tax practice.. My law firm also has a deep bench and rich history of providing legal services as a tax law firm. We pride ourselves as being the law firm that other tax attorneys, estate planning attorneys, business attorneys, litigation attorneys, retired judges and experienced CPAs / EAs refer work to.
