After attending the University of California, Davis (King Hall) School of Law, Anjali A. interned at the SF Public Defender's Office before joining the Fresno County Public Defender's Office in August of 2016. She quickly established herself as a strong and fearless advocate for her clients, winning numerous misdemeanor and felony jury trials. In December 2019, she left the Public Defender's Office. A firm believer in helping those who cannot afford a strong defense, she now exclusively does court-appointed indigent work for juveniles in Fresno County. She also opened her own private defense firm and has been retained throughout California. She has secured multiple acquittals for her juvenile clients at trial (adjudication), forced the District Attorney's Office to dismiss numerous cases, and convinced Judges not to try Minors as Adults (called "transfer motions").. She has presented on juvenile transfers for the Pacific Juvenile Defense Center (PJDC), the leading non-profit on juvenile defense, organized juvenile presentations, and in 2021 was appointed to the Advisory Board for the 2021-2022 year. She was PJDC's Juvenile Lawyer of the Year in 2022.
