Stacy Wright  is the owner of Stacy Wright Family Law and Mediation, Chtd., a law firm providing services in Family Law and Mediation. Prior to that, she was a partner at Lewis Kannegieter & Wright, LLC, a law firm providing services in Family Law, Mediation and Estate Planning. Before becoming a partner at Lewis Kannegieter & Wright, LLC, Stacy was a solo practitioner with a practice limited to family law matters.. Stacy graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1992, and was sworn into the Minnesota Bar in October 1992. She began her legal career working part-time for Volunteer Lawyers Network while volunteering as a volunteer attorney for Legal Aid, a Guardian ad Litem with Hennepin County Child Protection, and a Domestic Abuse Advocate with Harriett Tubman Legal program.. Stacy became the L.A.W. Program Coordinator for Chrysalis, A Center for Women in 1994. In that capacity, she developed curriculum for Divorce Information Session, Divorce Dollars and Sense and Child Custody and Support. She also authored the L.E.A.D. (Legal and Economic Aspects of Divorce) curriculum, currently offered by Headway Emotional Health Services. She continues to present the class, which is approved by the MN Supreme Court as a parent education program for divorcing parents.. Stacy was the Director of Legal Services for the Hennepin County Bar Association, Oct 1999 – Dec 2002. She managed the Lawyer Referral and Information Service and its affiliated pro bono and modest means programs: Low Fee Family Law Project, Misdemeanor Defense Project and Legal Access Point Project. Stacy became a Rule 114 Qualified Mediator in 1999, and continues to volunteer forCommunity Mediation Services.. Her varied background experience has allowed her to work with personal of all economic circumstances, and various racial, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Stacy understands the barriers that some face within the legal system.
