Danny Luneau was born and raised in Slidell, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans. He attended college at Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated in the top 5% percent of his class with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Danny was also inducted in the university’s Thirteen Club for outstanding academic achievement. After college, Danny attended Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he was a member of the Moot Court Program and Trial Advocacy Program. During Danny’s third year of law school, he was selected to participate in the Loyola Clinical Program, where he was sworn into the practice of law and was allowed to represent criminal defendants charged with felony crimes.. While in the clinical program, Danny achieved successful results in every case he was assigned, including not guilty verdicts in armed robbery, illegal possession of weapons, and drug possession. Danny also successfully argued a pretrial motion that resulted in the indefinite postponement of a pending second degree murder trial. The case was argued all the way to the Louisiana Supreme Court. Danny graduated from Loyola in the top 8% of his law school class, earning the designation of “William L. Crowe Scholar.” Danny was recruited to join the law firm of Charles L. Fife & Associates, P.C. upon graduation from law school, and now exclusively practices criminal defense.. Since working at Charles L. Fife & Associates, Danny has worked on hundreds of DUI and drug cases, winning not guilty verdicts in DUI, DUID, DWAI, Driving with Excessive Alcohol Content, Prohibited Use of Weapons (while intoxicated), and Threats to Injury Persons or Damage Property. Danny has also successfully dismissed or deferred prosecutions on various felony and misdemeanor charges.. Recently, Danny, along with several other attorneys, was asked to submit an Amicus Curie Brief on behalf of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar regarding a DUI case currently before the Colorado Supreme Court. The case involves the admission of blood alcohol reports. Danny has gained notoriety for his expertise in blood alcohol reports as one of his DUI cases helped expose over 1,700 erroneous blood tests conducted by the Colorado State Laboratory. Danny has also published an article in The Colorado Lawyer regarding the admission of blood alcohol reports in DUI cases.
