Services. Griswold Law focuses on receiverships and partition matters. Attorney Richardson “Red” Griswold is commonly appointed by California courts as a Receiver and Partition Referee. He acts as a health and safety receiver, rents and profits receiver, post-judgment receiver and partition referee. In addition, Mr. Griswold takes on select class action matters.. Experience. Prior to founding Griswold Law, Mr. Griswold sharpened his legal skills at several Southern California law firms focusing on real estate law, employment law and business litigation, as well as in the legal departments of the San Diego Padres and The Upper Deck Company.  He also previously served as Vice President of a commercial and residential property management company, at the time ranked 15th largest in the state of California.. Education and Membership. Mr. Griswold is a member of the California State Bar and licensed to practice law in all California state courts, as well as the United States District Courts in the Southern District, Central District, and Eastern District of California.  Mr. Griswold earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis and his law degree, magna cum laude, from California Western School of Law in San Diego.  Mr. Griswold is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker.. Mr. Griswold is a 2015-2016 Board Member of the California Receivers Forum and a Board Member of the loca San Diego Chapter (San Diego Receivers Forum).. Pro Bono and Volunteer Efforts. Mr. Griswold is a classroom presenter for the Mock Trial Video Presentation Program at elementary schools across San Diego County through the San Diego County Bar Association’s Children At Risk Committee. He also volunteers with the Juvenile Court Book Club, which facilitates book club meetings at local juvenile detention centers.  Further, Mr. Griswold volunteers with the California Innocence Project by reviewing prison inmate files to investigate claims of innocence.
