Brett L. Schlacter is the managing and founding partner of Schlacter Law. Mr. Schlacter, originally from New York, received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Finance from the University of Florida and his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University Law School. While at NSU Law School, Mr. Schlacter was a Senior Staff member of the Law Review. Mr. Schlacter graduated top 2% of his law school class and was awarded the well-regarded Nova Merit Scholarship. During and after law school, Mr. Schlacter lectured in the areas of Constitutional Law, Contracts, and Torts, and founded one of South Florida’s most prominent law school tutoring companies, BLS Tutoring. During law school, Mr. Schlacter also served as a clerk for a prominent federal judge in the Southern District of Florida.. Mr. Schlacter began his career at a boutique civil litigation firm specializing in business and real estate litigation and corporate representation of companies. Subsequently, Mr. Schlacter worked at a large national defense firm where he represented various property owners and corporate entities (including, but not limited to, hotels, casinos, condominium associations, commercial freight carriers, bars, and clubs) in claims arising from traumatic personal injuries, injuries caused by code violations, and injuries caused by premises in disrepair. He has also litigated claims of negligent security for a wide array of on-property offenses including assaults and batteries, targeted attacks, and rapes.. Currently, Mr. Schlacter predominately practices in the areas of Personal Injury and Wrongful Death litigation. Mr. Schlacter also has a substantial corporate transactional and litigation practice. Mr. Schlacter is a Mount Sinai Young President and has other notable philanthropic affiliations in Miami-Dade County. Mr. Schlacter is licensed to practice law in the Florida State Courts and in the Southern and Middle District Courts of Florida.. Office:
