Annie M. Rolfe is a Certified Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of Arizona. She has practiced exclusively family law since February, 2005, and is currently a member of the Family Law Executive Council of the State Bar of Arizona.. Ms. Rolfe is recognized as a Best Lawyer in America 2024 and has been consistently rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale.. Ms. Rolfe’s practice focuses on dissolution (divorce), annulment, paternity, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance (alimony), interstate custody and support, parental relocation, grandparents’ rights, and adoption. She is a strong and fair advocate for the spouses and parents who she represents.. After growing up in Southern California, Annie Rolfe attended Yale University where she obtained her B.A. in Political Science concentrating in American Government. She attended the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona where she especially enjoyed her education and training in litigation and trials.. Ms. Rolfe lives in Tucson, Arizona, with her husband, Sam, and her daughters. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family at home.. Rolfe Family Law PLLC is also one of very few law firms in Arizona to offer the services of a Legal Paraprofessional. Legal Paraprofessionals (LPs) have similar roles in legal practice to the roles performed by nurse practitioners in medicine. LPs can practice Family Law in the State of Arizona, with limited exceptions. The role of LPs was created in large part to address the large gap in access to justice, and to provide low- and middle-income individuals with greater access to legal assistance. At Rolfe Family Law PLLC, Ms. Sabrina Bell serves as a Legal Paraprofessional and can assist individuals at a lower cost, while still having access to Ms. Rolfe's knowledge and experience, as needed.

Practice Areas: Education
In my tenure as an education law attorney, I have represented school districts, community colleges, municipalities, CTED's, and charter schools in EEOC, OCR, Attorney General, Auditor General, and internal human resource related investigations. For the same clientele, I drafted intergovernmental agreements, employment contracts, procurement documents, vendor contracts, operating policies, numerous legal alerts, and risk management type advisory documents. I addressed the appropriate governing bodies to give advice concerning Public Records Law, Open Meeting Law, human resource issues, funding issues, litigation strategy, and to address general questions. I engaged in a complex lawsuit concerning protecting public entities from abusive public records requestors, pursuing the cause to the Arizona Court of Appeals. I requested, and received, a formal Arizona Attorney General opinion regarding a education funding matter. I conducted employee termination/disciplinary hearings (including drafting required documents), and addressed FERPA, FMLA, FLSA, ADA (including negotiating reasonable accommodations), Workers' Compensation (including representing entities during hearings), USERRA, and ADEA issues. I also worked with public entities seeking to provide educational courses regarding Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (commonly known as "drones") and interacted with regards to such courses with the FAA. In addition to the above, I drafted meeting agendas, conducted executive sessions with the governing body, drafted procurement documents (including responding to bid protests), responded to public records requestors (including redacting the documents provided), and responded to employee/public grievances.. Prior to working as an education law attorney, I worked for the Arizona Attorney General's Office in the Protective Services Section. I managed a case load of over eighty (80) cases regarding child dependency and termination of parental rights matters. This representation involved drafting of pretrial motions, appearing at numerous hearings, bench trials, interacting with multiple governmental agencies, engaging in mediation, and addressing discovery requests.

We know times are tough. Whether you’re an hourly or salaried employee, paid on commission, a self-employed small business owner or a working professional, the pressure and stress that comes with creditor harassment, telephone calls, threatening letters and lawsuits is overwhelming and can be emotionally crippling. If you’re already suffering physically and mentally due to your injuries or due to financial problems because of layoffs, unemployment, divorce, sudden illnesses, or injuries and disability from the negligence of others, you need a legal professional to make an informed analysis of the problems, give you honest answers about your options and provide diligent, loyal representation. Many of our clients have tried and failed to resolve problems on their own and ended up frustrated by aggressive settlement tactics and disappointed after unsuccessful debt consolidation and loan modification efforts. It’s almost never too late to get qualified legal advice and get back on track to recovery. Dealing with your losses and debts successfully depends more than anything else on having an experienced attorney. We’re not beginners or unlicensed document preparers or paralegals. We pursue every avenue to get you the best result possible and every benefit and advantage available under the law. If it’s a bankruptcy matter, whether it’s a personal bankruptcy or business bankruptcy, in many cases you can keep all your property, stop creditors from contacting family and your employer, and you might even adjust and eliminate home equity lines of credit and second mortgages against your real estate. In personal injury matters, it’s important that your attorney understand how insurance companies and the government work with medical benefits and exhaust every source of additional coverage, not just settle for the minimum limits most negligent drivers carry. Your attorney needs to know how to overcome obstacles, not just spot them. We know it’s impossible to restore our clients to perfect physical and financial health, but we’ll promise to do everything within the law to help restore your dignity and peace of mind. When you leave our offices, we want to see you make an overall fresh start and we’re dedicated to making that happen.
