Matt’s practice involves many areas of litigation including commercial litigation, family law matters, and personal injury/accident litigation. Matt also has a significant amount of experience with real estate disputes, estate matters, and insurance defense work.  He knows and understands the importance that personal rights and family law have on our daily lives.. Matt grew up in Billings. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Montana, and received his juris doctorate from the University of Montana School of Law. During law school, Matt worked as a law clerk and was a student attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic, a setting where students can put their legal education to work before heading out into the “real world.”. Prior to joining Tolliver Law Firm in Billings, Montana, Matt practiced at Herndon, Sweeney and Halverson.. Matt is a member of the Billings Mustang Boosters, Yellowstone Bar Association, and the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers Association. In his free time, Matt enjoys experiencing all that Montana has to offer including: golfing, spending time with his wife and daughter, and fishing.

Matt grew up in Billings, Montana. He graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in finance and law and public policy. Matt was very active at his time at Gonzaga and was the President of the Gonzaga Kennel Club attending every basketball game during his time there. After Gonzaga, Matt moved back to Montana and attended the University of Montana School of Law. He graduated in 2023 with Honors. Matt interned for the firm’s Missoula office for one year during law school. Matt is admitted to practice law in Montana’s state and federal courts. Matt joined the firm’s Billings office in the summer of 2023. Matt’s primary areas of practice include civil litigation, insurance defense, and pre litigation claim investigations.
