Firm: The Weinreb Law Firm, PLLC
1225 Franklin Avenue , Garden City , New York 11530
Practice Areas: Litigation
PLEASE NOTE: THIS WEBSITE CONTAIN ATTORNEY ADVERTISING. PRIOR RESULTS DO NOT GUARANTEE A SIMILAR OUTCOME.. Elan E. Weinreb is a creative and insightful civil litigator, mediator, and arbitrator who has represented domestic and international clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court cases involving diverse and complex fields of law and has extensive experience in the use of technology in litigation. He has also served as a third-party neutral in mediations and both individually and as a panelist in arbitrations.. Mr. Weinreb was born in 1979 in Hollywood, Florida to Dr. Neal Weinreb, a world-class hematologist/oncologist, and Mrs. Bonnie Weinreb (nee Riesel), a graduate-level English instructor. After attending the Samuel Scheck Hillel Community Day School and Ben Lipson Hillel Community High School, he moved to Manhattan in 1996 to attend Isaac Breuer College of Hebraic Studies at Yeshiva University and Yeshiva College at Yeshiva University. While at Yeshiva University, Mr. Weinreb reinstituted the Yeshiva University Debate Society and went on to win more than a few debate trophies at regional competitions.. After graduating as Valedictorian from Isaac Breuer College and obtaining a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in History from Yeshiva College, Mr. Weinreb’s love for language, rhetoric, and argument propelled him to the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. From 2000 through 2002, Mr. Weinreb served—first as an Associate Editor and then as Production Editor—on the Cardozo Law Review, where he developed an interest in the use of computer technology in litigation and published a student Note on the use of computer animations and simulations in the courtroom.. After graduating magna cum laude from Cardozo in 2002 with a concentration in Litigation, Mr. Weinreb joined Kaye Scholer LLP, a prestigious midtown Manhattan law firm. Over approximately the next seven years, he had the honor and privilege of honing his legal skills while representing the following clients in multi-million dollar commercial, intellectual property, and product liability litigations:. In November 2007, Mr. Weinreb published another article on computer animations in the courtroom for the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, and in September 2008, he was quoted in Fortune Small Business on the topic.. Seeking more control and responsibility over his own cases, in June 2009, Mr. Weinreb joined Katlowitz & Associates as Senior Associate and Head of Litigation, and in July 2012, he was promoted to Counsel. At the start of 2014, Mr. Weinreb left Katlowitz & Associates to pursue his life-long dream of establishing The Weinreb Law Firm, PLLC.. In June 2015, after undertaking comprehensive training in commercial arbitration offered by the New York State Bar Association and mediation training offered by the New York Center for Interpersonal Development, Mr. Weinreb decided to expand TWLF's practice areas to include alternative dispute resolution (a/k/a ADR) disciplines, namely arbitration, mediation, and negotiation.. Outside of the office, Mr. Weinreb serves as a professional Torah reader for two West Hempstead synagogues of which he is a member: Congregation Anshei Shalom and Young Israel of West Hempstead. His spouse of twenty years, Michele A. Weinreb, a court reporter and gourmet chef (although she will never admit it if asked), keeps him both entertained and well-fed. More importantly, she serves as his perpetual source of motivation and inspiration.

Our office represents clients with a unique approach thinking inside and outside the box. Each client has benefited from our combined experience in business and law. Your success is my success.. Over the years, I have been able to provide clients with a business - man's approach to complex legal issues, rather than simply a restatement of the law. We represent real estate firms and small property owners in their management, use and operation of residential housing and commercial properties. Our real estate practice includes complex landlord-tenant litigation, representing landlords and property owners in housing court, before the DHCR and HPD; and also has extensive experience with cooperative apartments and condominiums. Since much of landlord-tenant law relies heavily on underlying leases, we assist both landlords and tenants in the drafting and negotiation of their commercial leases, protecting rights in the subject properties, long term profitability in the client's investment and ensuring enforcement measures are set.. Whether you are first time buyer or an experienced investor, Our office will guide you through every stage in your purchase or sale of commercial and residential real estate in New York. Each individual terms of a contract is reviewed, considered for negotiation and thoroughly explained to each client. We have built a reputation for obtaining favorable adjustments to save his clients costs every stage of the purchase and sale process through closing.. My office has also successfully represented hundreds of entrepreneurs, investors and other business professionals in their commercial transactions. My vast business experience provides his business clients an edge in each of their transactions. Our office serves as outside counsel to many companies within and outside of New York State, including Canada and Israel for all legal needs of their New York operations.

I believe that being an attorney is more than just advising clients on the law and appearing in Court. As a Matrimonial and Family Law attorney, I believe in establishing a close rapport with my clients, knowing their genuine needs and concerns, and counseling them in times when they are most vulnerable. I want my clients to know that I truly care about the outcome of their case, and doing my best to obtain results that are in their best interests and that of their children.. I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, where the majority of my family continues to reside. My parents are hard-working people who took on many jobs throughout my childhood to send my sister and I to private schools and give us many advantages that we wouldn't otherwise have if it weren't for their hard work and dedication. I am the first person in my family to attend and complete college.. My parents, as middle-class folks, always stressed the importance of treating people as I would want to be treated, regardless of gender, religion, race, age, disability, social status, sexual orientation, and the like. All of my grandparents immigrated to the United States from Sicily and Poland, respectively, and worked hard to establish a life in the US. I was raised with patriotism and respect for our servicemembers, and currently have family in active deployment.. The importance of education was always a focus in my home, but my parents also encouraged our involvement in sports and extracurriculars. I have played competitive sports my whole life, particularly basketball and softball. My father played AAA baseball and my my younger sister obtained her advanced degree in neuroscience by attending college on a basketball scholarship.. I have always enjoyed reading and writing poetry, and I was first published in a national magazine at age five. I am highly supportive of the United States Military and actively participate in projects to benefit War Veterans. I consistently donate to organizations that support world literacy, veterans, and animal shelters.. I worked full-time as a Project Coordinator for The Home Depot for ten years while I attended undergrad and law school. I have worked with architects, contractors, and homeowners on any project you can think of, but particularly entire kitchen/bath ronnovation, flooring installation, plumbing, and electrical projects. I love physical labor and I like to get dirty. It's therapeutic.. My upbringing and experience has taught me the importance of hard work, healthy competition, but also working as a team. Equally important, I have also learned the importance of family, friendship, and respect. I pride myself in my work as an attorney, and take care to provide each client with quality representation. Many clients have stated their appreciation that I am "real". where I give straightforward, understandable advice. Being an attorney is one of the MANY things that define me, as result of hard work and persistence. It's my goal to continue that hard work and persistence throughout my career.
