Creation - Director - Assistants - Expenses

(a) There is created in the office of the comptroller of the treasury a division of property assessments. (b) The comptroller of the treasury is authorized, with the approval of the state board of equalization, to appoint a director, who shall be the head of the division. (c) The division of property assessments is authorized to employ such assistants as are deemed necessary by the comptroller of the treasury to enable the division to efficiently and thoroughly perform its duties. (d) All expenses of the division, including salaries of its director and other employees, shall be paid out of moneys appropriated by the general assembly and made available to the comptroller of the treasury by law.
