Scott Riddle has almost 25 years experience in Bankruptcy and litigation, and provides skilled representation to individuals and small and mid-size businesses.. Scott graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BSBA in 1987 and received his JD, with honors, in 1991. After graduation from law school, Scott clerked for two years for Judge W. Homer Drake, Jr., United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Georgia. He then spent several years in the bankruptcy and litigation sections of Troutman Sanders, LLP prior to starting his own firm.. Scott has spoken at several continuing education seminars, and in the community, has been an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta, Buckhead Business Association, Rotary Club and North Point Community Church.  Scott is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Bar Association, and American Bankruptcy Institute.  He served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar Association.. The firm's practice focuses on bankruptcy and litigation. Scott has represented Chapter 11 debtors, creditors, trustees and other interested parties in bankruptcy cases and bankruptcy litigation. He has significant experience in litigating breach of fiduciary duty and other corporate governance claims in the context of bankruptcy proceedings.  Scott publishes one of the oldest and most popular Bankruptcy Blogs in the country () and is a contributor for the Georgia Bankruptcy Lawyers Network (). On the litigation side, Scott's practice has focused on corporate litigation, derivative actions, real estate litigation and general business disputes. He has been counsel in several high profile mortgage fraud cases as well as disputes involving commercial and golf course developments.. On the personal side, Scott is very active in the community.  He regularly volunteers at the Atlanta Mission and other organizations, and is active in his church.  He has also led and organized mission and relief trips to several countries, including Chile, Haiti and Russia, and has traveled to several other countries with mission organizations.
